You seem quite passionate in your defense of 1890 and quick to blame Fred. Do you have ties to 1890? How was it Fred's fault that our NIL program was scammy and didn't pay some of his players what they were promised? Coaches aren't supposed to be involved with NIL.
No connection whatsoever but I do practice common sense.
Fred is the head coach. Fred has put himself in the spot he's currently in. Fred had a different NIL from all other sports that was Nebraska basketball exclusive due to issues with ABM. He had a large hand in that collective happening. 1890 wasn't even involved with hoops until a few months ago. They have zero responsibilities to what happened prior.
You have to be awfully naive to think coaches aren't involved in NIL.
See I’m more of a constant state of depression fan.
Realize it is what it is and will never be better and life is one constant disappointment after disappointment with no hope of ever recovering.
No connection whatsoever but I do practice common sense.

Appears he's a bit of a Chucker or Volume Scorer. Looked up his stats and shot 39.2% from the floor overall and 27.2% from 3's. Only had 8 games last season where he shot 50% or better from the floor. Maybe Fred feels he can fix his stroke to improve those numbers. Physically put together Guard at 6-4 220 lbs plus is athletic. Has the body to compete in the B1G and finishes at the rim with authority. Power Dunker.

I was going to say I should have added some of those numbers to my original post. The 3 point % is definitely discouraging and is just an above-average FT shooter. One would think he wouldn't be asked to shoot a high-volume of 3's, as Keisei (hopefully) and Lawrence will be doing most of the damage from outside.
Like you said, seems to be an elite slasher and athlete. I will trust Fred and this new coaching staff's evaluation, considering how well they did in the portal last year.
