He’s pretty much guaranteed to start next year. He had flashes of being good(and bad), but Nebraska is really bad. It’s tough to gauge how good he is.

He goes somewhere and gets passed up the next time he transfers he has to sit out a year.

I don't dispute that I think it will be a net plus for Nebraska, but it's turned some players into traveling mercenaries, and given others an easy out to chase white rabbits and throw their chance at an education and stability away. Get in the door, build a brand and then make money off your name, appearances, advertising? Great. "Pay me" to walk through the door and I'll reevaluate my options next year too? Nah, I don't like it at all.

He is quality enough to play at a lot of places. Maybe we need to pay him. I’m sure he sees a guy like Mathis making good money and thinks he should make more.
