Nebraska 2025 Win Total + Week 1 Game v Cincinnati Line Released

If UCLA loses Bieniemy to CU would that affect your prediction?

It normally would not for me but in this case Bieniemy was such a big part of UCLA's win in Lincoln (he absolutely ate Tony White's lunch)...i might reconsider.

I've gone back and watched that game a few times.

1. UCLA did have a solid game plan built around Ethan Garbers and his feet. They scouted the Huskers really well from that standpoint and ran him more vs. the Huskers than in any other game during UCLA's 2024 season.

But even an erratic defensive effort was not the reason why they lost that game:

2. That game represented Satterfield's "Mein Kampf." It was by far his worst game as a Husker coach. Raiola was poorly prepared, and the game plan looked like it was planned on a napkin during morning breakfast. Satterfield's fate was sealed after that game.

As bad as it sucked at the time, UCLA may have done Nebraska football a GIANT FUCKING FAVOR.

UCLA fired Bienemy and hired the Indiana Offensive Coordinator. They also went out and grabbed the Appalachian State QB who has roughly 35 career starts. That kid has been running a very similar offense to what the new OC wants to run. It will be RPO after RPO after RPO.

So I think UCLA will be a MUCH better team in 2025. Oh, and they get a bye before they welcome Nebraska to Lincoln. Meanwhile, Nebraska will be coming off a pretty emotional home game vs. USC.

I will never bet on Nebraska to win 8 games or more in a season until I actually see it happen.
Unfortunately I made an annual bet with my best friends again a few weeks ago. My best friend is a solid hype man that does not care about Nebraska at all, so he just hypes up my win total in the bet. I'm at 10-2 for 2025. I have lost this bet for now 6 straight years.

Jesus. At least give yourself a chance.

He is taking advantage of you. I hope you weren't betting on 10 wins a year for the last 6 years.

Do we think anyone will talk about how similar Raiola is to Mahomes when we play in Arrowhead? Probably not...

Why the FUCK do we keep doing weird openers?

@ Arrowhead on a fucking Thursday against Cincinnatitty? I hate it so much. It should be an easy game that will be made weird.

Seems likely. Should mentally prepare for it now

Ain't gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent. Going to expect high and make my family's life MISERABLE during the season if it doesn't go how I want it to go.

Better than playing at Cincy (which is what this game) or in Indianapolis plus not a juggernaut opponent.

Northwestern in Ireland was not a juggernaut opponent

@ Minnesota on a Thursday opener was not a juggernaut opponent

@ Illinois 2021 was not a juggernaut opponent

Colorado 2018 was not a juggernaut opponent

Stop opening with conference opponents, Big 12 teams, weird ass neutral locations. Make UTEP/Arkansas St/South Alabama come to Lincoln and get our legs under us on a Saturday at 2:30. Fuck 'em up and move on.

Good stuff. Thank you.

Satt's Mein Kampf...that's good stuff lol

Absolutely. No, it's been a sad 7-8 win win totals bet since 2019. Think I bet 9-3 in 2019 based on the Frost second year effect?

I’ll give Dannon a buzz today to pass along your concerns.
