Maybe Turd should have asked if there was anything he should be aware of and if he did and it wasn’t shared that’s BS. Either way Turd handled the presser like an adultGod, Sherman is such a little bitch. They probably didn't feel the need to talk to Turd about secondary violations that no one would ordinarily care about. Don't know why the cucks around here aren't more annoyed at the media for continually using Nebraska as a punching for non-issue bullshit, but w/e.
Like sure, you could try an argue a for cause thing, but it's a pretty shitty and weak argument that's not going to do anything to the buyout (source--am a corporate lawyer).
That kind of reads like Sherman is a bitch.Trying to paste the Sherman article
LINCOLN, Neb. — If Scott Frost can’t fix the woes that ail Nebraska football and his time as its coach ultimately ends in an unceremonious departure, Wednesday will loom as a date to remember.
What a strange scene it was after practice as Frost and athletic director Turd Alberts, on the job for less than one month, emerged, unannounced, from a door on the second-level concourse at Memorial Stadium.
In a show of unity to address the morning report by the Action Network’s Brett McMurphy of an NCAA investigation into Frost and the football program over possible improper use of analysts and consultants, Frost and Alberts appeared for five minutes before a throng of media gathered to hear from players and other coaches.
It was, in a word, awkward, one of those unforgettable moments that can largely define a failed regime.
Most importantly, the report was true, Alberts said. Nebraska is complying with the NCAA. Coaches have been accessible and collaborative with investigators, Alberts said, and will “continue to do whatever the NCAA has asked us to do.”
Alberts said the investigation predates his July hire and that he learned of it after he started — which means that University of Nebraska-Lincoln chancellor Ronnie Green and Nebraska system president Ted Carter either didn’t know of the investigation last month, or they didn’t tell Alberts.
Either way, that’s … awkward. Again.
McMurphy also reported that Nebraska violated rules by holding off-campus workouts under the direction of strength and conditioning staff last year during the pandemic shutdown of team activities. And he reported that Frost and former chief of staff Gerrod Lambrecht, without approval from then-AD Bill Moos, led the efforts to replace Oklahoma on the Huskers’ September schedule.
That final bit of information, noted previously by The Athletic, adds spice to another ugly episode from this offseason ahead of Frost’s fourth year as the Aug. 28 opener looms at Illinois.
All of it is unappetizing, unfitting of an institution that prides itself on competing with integrity and a tradition of success.
Alberts talked in such platitudes just four weeks ago at his introductory news conference. Since, he’s been forced to confront the uncomfortable reality of messy conditions that festered under Moos, pushed into retirement on June 30 with a $2.9 million settlement to depart 18 months before the end of his contract.
Last week in discussing his visits this preseason to football practice, Alberts said he likes to study body language. He learns a lot from it, he said.
What Alberts saw Wednesday from Frost spoke more than the coach offered with his words. His demeanor, as an observer noted, was reminiscent of a teenager pulled by his father to a neighbor’s porch after getting busted for toilet-papering the house on the previous night.
Normally stoic with the media, Frost, 46, stood for most of their session with his arms folded across his chest as Alberts explained the purpose of their appearance.
“This is an ongoing investigation,” the AD said. “So while we would love to provide additional context and details, we simply can’t do that at this time. But I wanted to come here with Scott and acknowledge, you saw that there is an active investigation with our football program. We will continue to comply as we have done, and unfortunately, we’re not able to share details.”
As for the nature of the potential violations, they pale in comparison to other recent college scandals.
Analysts are not permitted by the NCAA to engage in direct coaching of players. Nebraska employs six analysts to assist its full-time coaches in addition to a recruiting analyst, a data analyst, several quality control coaches and volunteers.
Before last season, Frost plucked Jonathan Rutledge from Auburn as a special-teams analyst in place of hiring an on-field coordinator. Rutledge, named in McMurphy’s report, was fired in January, saying his lack of contact in practice with the Huskers limited his effectiveness. He declined to comment when contacted Wednesday. Frost has since placed outside linebackers coach Mike Dawson in charge of special teams.
Even if combined with punishment for managing improper workouts, the sanctions for Nebraska likely to result from this level of cheating would be minor. The NCAA is largely toothless today.
Frost is set to receive $5 million per year through Dec. 31, 2026. His contract reads that he’s subject to disciplinary or corrective action for violating any NCAA rule and may be suspended or terminated if “found to have been involved in any deliberate or serious violation of (NCAA) rules.”
But let’s be real. Frost won’t lose his job specifically for this level of potential misconduct.
What he’s lost is leverage. Before this investigation began, Frost’s job did not appear in jeopardy unless the bottom fell out on the Huskers this fall. We’re talking a 2-10 or 3-9 season, unlikely in even the worst-case scenario.
Though 12-20 in three seasons, Frost owns equity for his pedigree as a former Nebraska quarterback who won a national championship under Tom Osborne. He benefits from the patience required to wait for the opening of Nebraska’s new football complex, under construction through 2023.
He’s owed $25 million, and Nebraska took a financial hit during the pandemic. Alberts is new on the job and needs time to make solid evaluations.
They’re all check marks in Frost’s column. But the stain of this revelation takes him back to Square 1. Frost could finish 7-5 and get sent packing if the administration chooses to use an NCAA investigation against him.
Coaches who cheat to win big today amid a seemingly lawless NCAA environment are met with cheers. But if you cheat and still can’t win, little forgiveness awaits.
Asked about Nebraska’s pandemic workouts before players were allowed back on campus in June 2020, Frost said all decisions were made “with the best interest and health of our players in mind.”
“Everything we did was approved by the athletic department administration and campus administration,” Frost said.
As for that Oklahoma mess that won’t go away, Frost said he never made a phone call in an attempt to alter the schedule.
“That not my job,” he said.
It’s all his job — the schedule, the workouts, the use of analysts, assignments for assistants and other staff. The buck stops with the head coach, who looked and talked Wednesday like he wanted no part of this mess. Whatever benefit of the doubt remains on Frost’s side, it has diminished considerably.
Can confirm. Sherman is a huge bitch. That kind of reads like Sherman is a bitch.
Love Mitch. He hates FrostFirst part of this is interesting. Don’t have a sub for the rest.

I’m enjoying it.Are we really so stupid to get upset over outfits and body language in an off the cuff presser after a practice to address something that really isn’t a big deal that nobody will care about next week?
Jesus Christ Husker fans are stupid people and we make something that is suppose to be fun miserable.
Absolutely we'll be upset......except for me I couldn't give a shit lessAre we really so stupid to get upset over outfits and body language in an off the cuff presser after a practice to address something that really isn’t a big deal that nobody will care about next week?

Me too. It’s funny watching the window lickers get mad about it. They want so much to get frost’s autographI’m enjoying it.
He hates him as much as anyone. Goes back to frost and Stanford and comments frost madeDefinitely think I read somewhere, maybe RSS, that Mitch has hated Frost for a long time, so this makes sense that he would write this.
I can get Frost hate, but imagine dickriding Mitch Sherman. JFC dudeHe hates him as much as anyone. Goes back to frost and Stanford and comments frost made

I imagine, what kind of comments? Does Frost know? Doesn't Mitch show up for the pressers? He hates him as much as anyone. Goes back to frost and Stanford and comments frost made

I also heard yesterday that part of Moos’ buyout/severance was that he be the one who leaked the info about the violations so now they can fire Frost for cause. Scott does not have the full support of the regents or ADI imagine, what kind of comments? Does Frost know? Doesn't Mitch show up for the pressers?
One for example - Frost said he was the best QB in the state at the time which included Tommie Frazier lolI imagine, what kind of comments? Does Frost know? Doesn't Mitch show up for the pressers?

I'm sorry but if you believe this you clearly have an agenda...12-20 with no noticeable improvement and a shit effort in recruiting sounds like a much better reason. But if a disgruntled special teams analyst saves us some coin...
