I guess I just don’t see the point in treating something so small as a big deal.

Objectively speaking, there wasn’t a way that this could have been done that would have satisfied Nebraska fans. If Turd would have gone out and handled it, we’d have said he was hiding behind his AD. If he’d have gone alone, we’d have asked where Turd was. If he was dressed in a suit, we’d have seen it as some admission of guilt.

Ultimately, people were always going to see what they wanted to see. The athletic department clearly acting under the direction of Turd Alberts decided to handle it as casually as possible.

It was the arms folded pouty look that bothered me. He never looked at Turd while Turd was speaking. Acted like a kid pulled into the principal’s office. Turd was definitely the adult professional in the room.

The people who are complaining about the way he dressed sound like my grandmother yelling at me when I would wear my golf shorts to church on a really hot day.

I can see the points a little about body language. As a person who has done presentations with and without partners, you always get a little nervous no matter how many times you’ve done it and depending on how the room is set up, when it’s someone else’s turn to talk, it’s sometimes easy to find yourself with your hands in your pockets, checking your phone, or fixing your tie. Just a few nervous ticks.

Having said that, I can see the point that people are making that it looked like he was completely uninterested in being there. I don’t blame him. While I doubt this is much of a deal today within the football program, this qualifies as a distraction we simply don’t need.

I don’t think Turd Alberts is brainstorming ways to punish Scott Frost or “hold him accountable” for his body language or his attire today when he was the one who accompanied him to the presser and had all of the time he would have needed to discuss his appearance with him.
