@Woodrow F Call how are sales going for you lately?
Had a calf special this Thursday. I'm 3200 head above last years pace and I had close to 1400 that sold in December of 2022 that normally sell in January (they sold 2 calf crops in one year).

We are selling a week from this coming Tuesday with junker. Probably our best calf crop ever with really nice prices this year, really looking forward to this sale. Hopefully my fellow bronies can raise a beer to a good one for us. 🤞View attachment 21193
Check out those quotes. Phone been ringing off the hook this weekend with guys that typically go to Fairbury and Beatrice. Would love to get you boys on board. Got another calf special second week of April but I'll have big sales every week barring unfavorable weather

We spread it around in the area. S diamond up by Henderson has treated us well in the past, dads bought quite a few prefert bulls in the past, bought a bruning bull this year we are excited about.Who do you boys buy your bulls from?

We got a majority of our NH3 on in the fall, probably pushed it more than we should have but we had prepaid and wanted to get it on. Have about 300 acres still we need to do this spring, was hoping to do it later this week but now it’s looking a little wetter. Hopefully it works out soon to get it done.I was just curious to see if any names were from down this way. You have damn good cattle and good cattle sell themselves 90% of the time. You guys will do great.
On a separate note, I'm getting nervous for getting my NH3 on in March. Looks wet the next 2 weeks
i went cheap on one small pasture on an anderson bull from Ong. One of my neighbors who keeps a few a year, and then i bought a TC bull last year and his calves are pretty damn nice. so i bought a couple more this year. great bulls for the money.Who do you boys buy your bulls from?

I started with 9 cows in 2019 and have built up to 65 in the last few years. Ive thrown a ton of money into building up my herd with quality over quantity. I cull hard for fertility, production and quality. It costs a ass ton of $$$ to get started from nothing, probably couldve bought myself a nice deck if i wouldve stayed away from cattle
thanks, i appreciate that. Some really impressive looking bulls there.
TC Maverick is a fucking boss……😎Nobody cares but this is MLPFC this is what we do

Are you selling all of the calves (yearlings) at a sale barn or do you keep one or two to finish and butcher for yore own freezer?he really is. what i like the most about him is how easy he keeps his weight, especially over the winter. his calves are looking great too. this heifer out of him is 5 weeks old.

This right here is impressive. Your cow deserves just as much credit. Looks like a 1300 pound cow roughly? Wean a 6 month old calf 60% of her bodyweight if not more at that pace.
Majority of herds wean at 6-7 months and gotta background 90 days to get em that big. Keep doing what you're doing man.
