good rule of thumb for Nebraska and Kansas is take whatever precip Scotch’s area got (and for KS the Smith Center to Beloit stretch of Deer valley) and divide it in 1/2 and that’s what SW Neb and NW Kansas got

Everything we farm got 1.90 to 2.30. very fortunate as a neighbor 4 miles northwest of here only got .40 total.

We missed all the wind and hail too, a county east and south is where most of that started.

Not much wheat in Marshall county anymore, but they were just starting to get into right before the rain came.

We did a little central Neb golf trip with our 18 yo & 20 yo grandsons last year. Played Bayside first day, backtracked to Wild Horse second day, then back roads down to Heritage Hills and finally Meadowlark in Ktown.

My wife had a shit-ton of Holiday Inn credits so we got two rooms each night, so the boys had their own room. Great time and great memories. Heritage Hills was def our second-fave course, behind Gothenburg.

living in McCook now, got (a few) hotels across the wheat belt


Right now I don’t own anything except a house in McCook. I got my eye on 2 hotels (1 in McCook & 1 nearby) but right now is not the time to buy. Baring some massive change in fortune or winning the lotto I probably won’t buy anything for 3 years minimum. I know some people think I’m a big baller but I spent a little over $3 mil in 2020 on the Bellevue hotel, brother I’m a broke boy.

1.60 in the last week. Very much needed Northeast Nebraska. 15 miles northwest of me there was an area that got 6 inches. I was ok with missing that.
