Going well. Got done with harvest and all the cows are situated on covercrop or stalks, got bulls out to them yesterday and now helping the in-laws finish up harvest.

Had a grand total of two (2) trick-or-treaters so far. I know it's early, still light out (here), etc., but the cold temps must REALLY be keeping the head count down.
Final kid count: 50 trick-or-treaters
Question for the thread: what's the age limit for trick-or-treating? Seeing a squad of kids my height roaming the cul-de-sac right now, and I'm a little peeved. Should be for the little tigers, IMO.

I'm driving my 2 girls around. Around here most stops offer a cold beverage for the parents. At least the damn wind quit

I wore a "Friar Tuck" monk habit outfit in our old neighborhood. Glass of wine for the moms & a cold beer for the Dads. Seems like some of those groups came through more than once! 🤔

We used to get a ton of trick or treaters but haven't had a single one in 10 years. I think it has to do with the neighborhood kids all growing up and not many little kids moving into the neighborhood.
I used to love Halloween in Lincoln as a kid but I also remember it being some of the coldest nights in memory because the costume was never designed for warmth. Still used to get buckets of candy lol.

There were costumes unrelated to fairies. I didn't have a costume on. About 50/50 costumes to no costume.

We never had any when we "lived rural", either. I miss that peace & quiet.
