MLPFC Shit Posting

Good to see the thread picked back up. Hope all is well with you bronies.

I suppose it's time to plant some corn. Might as well start on a Saturday evening. That way I can be good and irritated.

it was a firefighters fundraiser and every tee box had a sign that said “money raised for anonymous firefighter who has x-type of cancer”

Kinda hard to get wasted when every tee box reminding you of why you were there. Now the actual firefighters were getting drunk af lol

when i get cancer, please get hammered as fuck in my honor

Made the Scottsbluff to Beebeetown drive yesterday in a personal best of 6 hours/35 minutes. Listened to GIAH’s red dirt music the entire way. Mrs Bomber has a deep nasty chest cold so she’s home on the couch watching the Hallmark Channel, thus I’m flying solo this trip.

My siblings and I are in the process of transitioning my 93 yr old mom into a hospice situation, although she’s not the traditional hospice candidate. No terminal cancer, no terminal COPD/respiratory condition, no advanced diabetes.

What she does have is a blood clot on her right lung. Reduced lung capacity, reduced leg strength, etc. She’s still got a great fighting spirit and has every intention of being around a year from now. Fingers crossed.

Anyway……spent the day running errands around Omaha for my mom and then one of our son’s and his family drove out to the farm to join us for supper. And my son and his fam are driving over from Des Moines tomorrow morning to also spend a little time with our matriarch. ❤️

Looking forward to watching our VB girls turn up the fun dial in Central City tomorrow against WSU. Should be fun getting to see Beason and the new freshmen getting their chance to show off. GBR!!

Hope you boys who could use some rain get all you need over the next 60 days and hope yore May Day basket has a few icy cold Silver Bullets in it………😎🍺👍

Sad news about your mom but it's a blessing to have you and your siblings sharing the responsibility for her care. Here's to a peaceful and long stay in her new residence.

My daughter works at a private cancer clinic in Scottsdale that does the cancer screening services for 1st responders in Phoenix, Scottsdale and IIRC, Chandler. That 3M foam they worked with is effective, but an incredible carcinogen.

Throughout the course of providing radiation therapy treatments to a lot of firefighters, she's gotten to be good friends with many of them and had to "say goodbye" to many more. The job is tough enough the way it is, Doc, without having to worry about the "tools of the trade" giving you cancer.

I hope you and Nancy sold some tasteful nudes and raised some $$$ for the lads.

Actually her #1 goal is to stay on the farm, where she’s lived since 1952. Nurses two days a week and nurse’s aides (for bathing) two days a week.

who did you find?
First, I did clarify who was mainly involved in that Red Dirt music thread. Looks like @Dell Husker started it, @Bootleg11 contributed several posts and I had confused @God is a Husker with @jw3 .

Regarding the actual music/musicians, I’m still not clear on the actual definition of “Red Dirt” music. I started a Ray Wylie Hubbard Pandora station and the following artists have come up tied to him……..

* James McMurtry
* Cross Canadian Ragweed
* Robert Earl Keen
* Turnpike Troubadours
* Drive-By Truckers
* Chris Knight
* Reckless Kelly
* Cody Jinks
* others

No idea if these guys are tied to the Red Dirt category but I know I like a lot of their music.

As a point of reference I have been a Jerry Jeff Walker fan since the early-mid 70s and many of his songs show up on this same Pandora station.

All of those are great. Try out Zach Bryan and Flatland Cavalry
