The only thing missing from the pictures was a windmill. That would put me over the top. June can't get here soon enough so I can trod on the old sod.I'm more worried about @bbenson67 rubbing one out to the "old home" pics. The man has a bad case of the "yearnings" IYAM IMO.
Congrats.....After 11 years I'm finally leaving bush Alaska. I accepted a job in the Mat-Su school district which is primarily Wasilla/Palmer.
You cut that crap out, Woodrow. I’m guilty of a lot of shit but quoting myself isn’t one of them....😘View attachment 2420
Speaking of decks, this 65° weather is perfect for back deck day drinking
edit. I did a bomber and quoted myself ZFG
Only in Bennington......”The Good Life”. 😎Windy, but up above 60 degrees today so I learned how to apply polymeric sand on the back patio. Sorry, @scotchfrost9697, but I’ve got a patio AND a deck* on the back of the house.
I have landscaping rocks forming an edge around the concrete due to the slope of the back yard, and a gap had formed between the two. All filled in nicely (for now). I’m sure additional settling will take place requiring periodic maintenance, but that’s home ownership in a nutshell.
* the deck itself isn’t YUGE (10x12). In fact, we refer to it as the “Tree Fort”. It does have a covered pergola, so it’s a nice play to relax, enjoy a cigar and/or a book & watch hut hut games in the fall on a small TV that I can shuttle back & forth from a guest bedroom.

Either it’s been a while since I’ve bought bologna, or grocery prices are expensive AF up there.
I’m surprised @Baron Winnebago hasn’t offered up @Jim14510 ’s bone marrow yet.Let us know if you need anything from us man
The latter. Not even the craziest thing I saw today after I got an email from a parent accusing me of being a demon because I didn’t grade some work his kid didn’t turn in.Either it’s been a while since I’ve bought bologna, or grocery prices are expensive AF up there.
Well ... at least it’s a parent that’s actually involved in their child’s school work. The latter. Not even the craziest thing I saw today after I got an email from a parent accusing me of being a demon because I didn’t grade some work his kid didn’t turn in.
I wish this guy was a little less involved. He sent me 3 emails in a row without a response.Well ... at least it’s a parent that’s actually involved in their child’s school work.
And not grading work that was never turned in is a clear sign of a wizard, not a demon. ;-)
This cat is going to "escalate" to someone in the administration. I know you're moving on at the end of the year, but I'd have a "defense" to the matter written up and ready to submit when the "Salem Witch Trial" Dad drops the hammer.I wish this guy was a little less involved. This killed me. But I think Jim can do better than just all of his marrowI’m surprised @Baron Winnebago hasn’t offered up @Jim14510 ’s bone marrow yet.
Admin is already on it which is why they get paid the big bucks. Dude is a strange cat and is well known for being problematic. This cat is going to "escalate" to someone in the administration. I would be fired after the first time getting emails like this.I wish this guy was a little less involved. He sent me 3 emails in a row without a response.
