Speaking of decks, this 65° weather is perfect for back deck day drinking

edit. I did a bomber and quoted myself ZFG

Windy, but up above 60 degrees today so I learned how to apply polymeric sand on the back patio. Sorry, @scotchfrost9697, but I’ve got a patio AND a deck* on the back of the house.

I have landscaping rocks forming an edge around the concrete due to the slope of the back yard, and a gap had formed between the two. All filled in nicely (for now). I’m sure additional settling will take place requiring periodic maintenance, but that’s home ownership in a nutshell.

* the deck itself isn’t YUGE (10x12). In fact, we refer to it as the “Tree Fort”. It does have a covered pergola, so it’s a nice play to relax, enjoy a cigar and/or a book & watch hut hut games in the fall on a small TV that I can shuttle back & forth from a guest bedroom.

I'm sick of this fucking wind. I'd like one damn day to golf not in gale-force winds.

this is fucking stupid, sounds like tomorrow will be decent so better get your golf in there. Wind again Sunday and Monday.

I went to the bank with an estimate and floor plan on the proposed "shouse" today and was given the green light. Pumped and nervous as a whore in church all at once.

If I had "fuck you" type disposable income I'd build a second deck but not let anyone go on or use it. Call it "Scotch's Deck"

Nice. Tits and I are in the early stages of looking at building a house...picking a great time to take it up the ass to build one.
lumber is what, doubled? we are a couple years from bullding too i just dont know if its going to get any better. or if we should just stay in our current house. we live in a split level and have been here for 3 years, i dont mind the stairs but its a little more work with mobile kid.

Talking to a buddy that builds houses, he thinks it will gradually decrease some, but doubts it will go back down to pre-covid levels.

Lumber alone from a year ago has added over 20k to our plan, fucking sucks.
