That’s where I’m going. Lots of small farms in the valley but for the most part the soil is shit. During the Great Depression the government moved a bunch of farmers from Wisconsin there with the idea that it would be Alaska’s bread basket.

It’s different. The river I live in now I can’t fly fish on but I can net king, sockeye, and coho to my heart’s content. I can fly fish everyday in the valley but I won’t get to keep much salmon. I’m ok with the trade off.
