I do not believe he’s leaving. He is VERY cognizant of how his employment affects the lives of his staff and several of them are in a spot that a change would be damaging to them. I could be wrong - but I doubt it.

McDermott to Notre Dame rumors have been out there for a couple weeks now, and the rumors of him being at odds with both the AD and university president have been going on since this time last year.

South Bend Tribune reported last week that McDermott’s reps reached out to ND.

Sorry, it’s just a new source and something I personally didn’t believe so I didn’t want to share it without confirmation. But basically McDermott is leaving Crelghton, depending on where he goes it would domino a potential Hoiberg replacement.

When you say domino a replacement do you mean lead us to replace Hoiberg this year? I’m struggling to see how it could lead to that, but maybe I’m misunderstanding.
