May Recruiting thread

difference is zat didnt have an offer. and fraud didn't really try to get him as a pwo. Plus his sister was already at mitted to misery for vb.
True, even though Donovan Raiola wanted him here but couldn't convince Frost to offer Isaac. His dad John played with Frost and even that relationship didn't help.

Dr. Rob Zatescka spilled the beans himself, I think last December in one of his Husker Doc Talk podcasts, and as you mention, Frost didn't even bother to really get him here despite John talking to Frost about an offer for his son.

Yeah, and by the time rhule got here and zat entered the portal. It was too late. But at least rhule was honest with him telling him to go kill it at NDSU

I think at least having a conversation with the kid within a few months of being the Nebraska HC was more valuable to the family than whatever Frost did or didn’t do.

Given that he hasn’t really developed as a Power 5 player, isn’t it overall a good thing we didn’t offer him?

wow - his top 11. We're so honored.

On300 ATH Terry Bussey (Sam Spiegelman, On3)
Elite 2024 athlete Terry Bussey of Timpson (TX) High narrowed his list to eleven schools Wednesday afternoon.
Bussey is down to the following schools: TCU, Texas A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma, Nebraska, LSU, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida.
The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder quickly discussed his finalists.
TCU– I have a great relationship with coach Kelly and love what they are building at TCU.
Texas A&M– Love everything about A&M from the coaching staff to the players and the program.
Oregon-The relationships have been getting stronger and I could see myself going out there.
Oklahoma– Great atmosphere when I went on a game day visit and love the whole staff.
Nebraska– Shows a lot of love all the time and could be building something great.
LSU-Love coach Cooks and the culture they have built in Baton Rouge.
Texas– Strong relationships with Coach Gideon and Coach Joseph and love everything about Texas.
Alabama– From the culture, to the fans and coaches, it was all great. I loved everything about Bama, and could see myself there one day.
Tennessee-Loved Coach Pope and Heupel and overall just liked everything about Tennessee.
Auburn-Connected with coach Davis a lot and love everything about him and Auburn.
Florida-Love the relationships we’ve built the past couple of months and can’t wait to see what UF’s about!

Terry Bussey Scouting Summary

“East Texas all-around monster of a football player who plays all over the field. Will line up at quarterback and gash defenses with his legs. At safety he can cover sideline to sideline as well as stick his face into traffic as a run defender. Sticky in coverage as a corner. Tracks the ball naturally as a wide receiver and makes defenders miss in a phone booth in the return game. But the thing that jumps off the screen most is his natural athleticism. Stands in at just over 5-foot-10, 180 pounds with a 6-foot-2 wingspan. Ran a 4.42 electronically-timed 40-yard dash during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season. Also jumped a 30-inch vertical, a 9-foot-5 broad jump and ran a 4.32 short shuttle at the same event. Jumped 45 feet in the triple jump and ran a 22.61 200m during his junior track and field season.”
“Rare combination of top-tier explosiveness and fluidity. Strong basketball player averaging 19.6 points per game as well as 7 rebounds per game. Has all the athletic tools to excel at the next level and beyond on either side of the ball. More natural fit seems to be corner due to lack of true high-point ability due to size and rare fluidity combined with his top-end speed. Named 2022 Mr. Texas Football after his junior season. One of the youngest prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle, should technically be in the 2025 recruiting class.”
Bussey ranks as the No. 31 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 2 athlete and the No. 7 player in the state of Texas.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $179K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
