This would explain the DB offers recently - Peyton Morgan and Dontae Carter both got high confidence CBs to TT last night coming off this weekend's OV.

Charles Anderson committed to TT as well

Adam Kissayi committed to Minnesota

I gotta believe that Nebraska is rapidly running out of spots. This class can't be that big and we are at 12.

we may be at 15. I think there are at least 5 or 6 guys coming in this next weekend we would take no matter what - Nelson, Brix (probably won't get) or Echols, McMorris, Clark Tuataga, Lacy. With Kissayi and Anderson gone, will they invite Tristan Johnson and/or Derrick Brown?

It seems like this class will be at least 20 after July. We'd be done early.

Not to start a whole thing, but I wonder if in future years Rhule will try to have his big June weekend be earlier in the month. I initially didn't mind the idea of getting the last crack at kids but if they end up committing before they can even make it to campus it's pointless.

I wad a bit curious about that too. I kind of liked the idea at first, that way he's not battling Georgia and Bama for the first weekend with these kids. But I think it did put them behind the 8 ball on some kids. It'll be easier to battle the Georgia's and Bamas with a few more Ws.

Also Rhule and Co. were behind the 8 ball with 2024 kids no matter what.

Top247 TE Carter Nelson has an impressive official visit to Penn State

The Nittany Lions are working to add 247Sports No. 2 TE to the nation's No. 6 ranked recruiting class.

Ainsworth (Neb.) High Top247 tight end Carter Nelson took his official visit to Penn State over the weekend, and the family had a great experience in Happy Valley.

The Nittany Lions are battling Georgia, Notre Dame and Nebraska among others for the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Nelson who is tabbed by 247Sports as the No. 2 tight end in America and No. 40 prospect overall in the 2024 class.

The Nelson camp loves the people in State College.

“The absolute highlight is the staff Coach (James) Franklin as put together at Penn State,” Nelson’s father Jake said. “That’s a great group of people and their families are also amazing.”

The environment at Penn State was one the Nelson camp really resonated with.

“It was cool to be in a stadium of that size and just imagine what the crowd and student section is like,” the elder Nelson said. “Sitting down with Coach (Ty) Howle and seeing the way they use the tight ends was great as well.

“Walking around downtown we could really tell how much they love their Nittany Lions by how many different Penn State apparel shops we came across.”

Coming off a Rose Bowl victory, Penn State is sitting on 247Sports No. 6 ranked recruiting class and Nelson is one of the program’s most coveted targets moving forward.

“Carter really enjoyed his time hanging out with some of the players and the other recruits,” his father said.

This was the third official visit for Nelson who already hit Georgia and Notre Dame in the weekends prior. Next up is Nebraska this coming weekend.

Nelson will play in the All-American Bowl following his senior season.

Penn State 247 staff Tyler Calvuroso with intel on Nelson's visit (no Nebraska mention)

-Don't hold your breath on Top247 Ainsworth (Neb.) tight end Carter Nelson at this point. I don't think this one is going to happen for Penn State. Georgia and Notre Dame are battling that one out.

We've also been fucking bad since these children started paying attention to football. Not like Bo Pelini's Nebraska of 9/10 wins like shitting in our pants every Saturday bad.

We're at the point of people saying "oh yeah my grandpa really liked watching Nebraska back when they were good"
