I mean, really, we’re offering a top 20 national prospect - from Maryland - in the 2026 class in late January? Wasting your time and the kids time. Should’ve offered him a year ago.

He was a 3 school in 4 years for high school. Dad is the ceo of Battle the mouth piece and other sports equipment.
They had a youth team that a lot of them stuck together for 7-7 and high school bouncing around from Burke to north etc.

Is Battle based in Omaha? I’ve never heard of it being a local company.

All be darn. I had no idea.

There are short dead periods sprinkeled in, but in general, December is an open recruiting period.

Coaches couldn't be on the road in December, but could still contact HS players like usual, could have visitors etc.

If communication to previous priority targets (like Higgins, who ended up committing to KS) lessened, that's either an issue with organization, or some of those guys were no longer a priority after the staff changes.

With the size of the recruiting staff, there's no excuse for not being able to stay on top of the portal as well as HS recruiting.
