I'm curious too. Benning mentioned on the radio this morning that he's 99.9% sure there will be more "changes in responsibility" on the staff... It seems like it's too late to fire Chins, but then again who the hell knows? Maybe Fisher would get moved up to DC and an analyst would take over DBs or something? Not sure how far Mickey will go, but I hope he gives it all he's got to make this into a legit 9 game audition for himself.

Where do you rate Cockeyes’s offense on the NHSAA class scale? Will they explode and potentially reach double digit points for the first time all season or will our defense have their magnum opus in a 21-5 type win?

Their offense will score 6 points on 2 FG's and we'll lose 36-10.

As of September 12, 2022, Mickey obviously isn't in my top 20 choices to be our head coach.

HOWEVER, if he does enough over the next 9 games to win the job, which in my mind would probably mean AT LEAST seriously contending for the West, we will have gone through one of the most fun and legendary Husker seasons/coaching jobs of all time. So I'm all for it! Haha.

If he can get this team to a bowl game, that would be a major accomplishment given where we’re at right now. Anything beyond that would be remarkable

They would be like a 6-man team playing in Class A. I heard from an Cockeye fan last weekend that they compare Petras to a malfunctioning JUGS machine. I cracked up at that.

I have thought about this quite a bit. I think the cockeyes could probably put up 12 points. Could easily hit 4-45+ yard field goals. It's going to be one of the worst games to watch of the season.

Biggest question will be more how hard does Mickey go in as a head coach. I feel like Turd said give them all the MICK DADDY RAW DOG and get the trash out of the team before the season is over. On a more subtle note, I think Mickey is going to really push Chins to cut out the bend do not break maybe not as much against OU, but once the B1G schedule starts, and I fully expect some more players getting a chance on the defense.

I think you bank on culture/locker room issues being the issue, which seems to be what Turd has alluded to. Frankly, chatter in the Athlon coach gossip said similar.

All things considered our schedule is pretty manageable. No teams really look good imo. We are ass. But if our team can find a way to play disciplined football on defense, I think our offense can win some games. Mickey has a chance imo.

gap responsibility from the DL sucked major dick. alignment didnt help, im no x and o expert but running 3 DL and having them penetrate/1 gap and dropping nelson into coverage was real fucking stupid. also if i knew my defense sucked id sure as fuck quit going hurry up ESPECIALLY on the last drive of the game. i fee like a lot of this is common sense but i guess it isnt
