Just got back from Ireland/ Scotland. It was an anniversary trip but the wife let me get two rounds in- Royal County Down and Turnberry. Had never played in the UK before, it was awesome. Turnberry should be hosting Opens imo but doubt it’ll happen as long as it’s owned by Trump (as least that’s what the staff said).

Great weather, great golf and super friendly people.

Took my drone with me and got some pretty good shots after each round.

Turnberry is as good as it gets! Truly a shame they pulled The Open from there. Love that place
It's as good a golf course as there is in Scotland and that's saying something.
I agree! And they're rerouting number 7 to go closer to the ocean. It felt like Pebble in that the first 2 or 3 holes are good. And then you hit a world class stretch from 4-18 basically.
That was my thought. Pebble Beach of the UK. Spectacular views, incredible history. We stayed in the hotel there, too, and it was great. Would go back every year if the wife would allow it.
