Frost close losses

Yeah it's silly to even speculate who wins between Team A vs Team B that don't play each other especially from different years. It's hard enough predicting who will win before they play with absolutes. We'd all be millionaires from gambling.

Anyone predict the A&M Upset? Anyone after the 1st quarter think Cockeyes would win yesterday?
@22*43*51 definitely believed Cockeye would win after the 1st Quarter...

I’ve predicted all this Jim. It’s possible

People must've forgot how inept the offenses were under Blo when we had Shawn Watson and Tim Beck as our OC's. Had those offense were somewhat competent, Nebraska would've won a Conference Championship in 2009 & 2010. Not sure if Scott is correct answer, but the wheels were coming off the bus under Blo and Riley might've had a good third year if he wasn't forced to fire Banker for that other dipshit DC who liked to wear sweaters. I really don't think there is a magical coach out there outside of Nick Saban that can fix Nebraska.

Thats your opinion, yes. My opinion is they do.

Huh. Just realized that in 2012 and 2014 the Huskers only played 2 top ten teams total that were ranked in the top ten at the time of the game. The reason I use at the time of the game being played is because we don’t know that number for the 2021 campaign yet. Georgia in 2012 and MSU in 2014 for reference. That speaks to how much the conference has grown, in my opinion. We’ll play 4 in conference this year.

Neither of those teams beats this one.

complains about a “binary mindset” in others and makes statements like this as if they are facts.

this team played with, and ultimately lost to, two top 10 teams so clearly that’s worth sucking them off.

It also lost to one of the worst teams in the power 5 but yeah sure no possibility they’d lose your hypothetical match up.

this team will go down as one of the best 5 or less win teams in Nebraska history - no doubt

Why does my opinion that this team beats any 2011-14 Pelini team mean that I’m some sort of hypocrite?

Where have I sucked anyone off today?

This team is certainly the most talented Nebraska team in a long time. I really didn’t know that you could watch this team and not come to this conclusion. I happen to believe they’d beat any Nebraska team of the last ten years. Maybe I’ve been off the board so long that I’ve forgotten how out of touch with reality everyone is around here and how terrible opinions here are.

Them being more talented certainly doesn’t mean they’ll win games down the stretch here and beating a slew of Pelini’s shitty teams also doesn’t make them good. I’ve not said it does. At least I don’t think I have without looking back.

This team will be winning more than 5 games. Sorry to tell you.

Them being more talented isn’t what we are discussing - they are the most talented team since 2010, they just don’t play like it.

And when they proceed to lose three more games and not win more than 5, I hope you’ll have the courage to stay on the board and take your lumps versus vanishing again like after Illinois.

If they are the most talented team since 2010 Frost has been a failure coaching wise then. We should have a better record than what we do. We should have two more wins for sure.
I would say they are the most talented since the 2010 iyam.

Problem is they were relying on some new pieces at some critical spots. Also having the youngest OL in school history is going to show up negatively at some point.

At some point we have to look at the schedule. We have played 3 top 10 teams. 2 of them have been on the road. The 1 game I look at as a black eye is the Illinois game, but I think this team/staff has grown a lot since.

The talent and quality of this team versus years past was exactly what I and another poster were discussing and the post of mine you quoted was from that conversation. It doesn’t take a Rhodes Scholar to acknowledge the fact that side conversations within threads happen all of the time, but it must take a smarter man than you.

Looking back through my notifications, I haven’t had anyone attempt to “lump” me about my Illinois outlook. I stand by everything I said in regard to that Illinois game and it’s the worst loss in the Frost era. What is there to attack based on that outlook? Thanks in advance.

Sorry you’re actively rooting against the Huskers. That’s not in me to do.

Here’s an unpopular thing to bring up that the board full of former NFL DCs and P5 ADs won’t like…

ESPN FPI rankings have this Husker team as the 22nd best team in the nation based on the analytics.

whether or not they’d beat a past team was the discussion, not whether they’re more talented - it doesn’t take a Rhodes scholar to know that’s not the same thing

You posted constantly leading up to Illinois hyping this team and then stopped until apparently a loss to Michigan was a good enough showing to reappear and start hyping this team again?

I don’t root against Nebraska - I would love for them to be great again - I just recognize that there’s really no evidence yet that’s going to happen under Frost

Isnt talent a portion of the conversation when you talk about if this team would beat a past one? I think that’s kind of a key piece. Sorry that you believe talent has nothing to do with which team would beat what one and has no place in the conversation.

I posted nothing different about this team than what @alt f4 , @kenyanfeline , and @Faux Sean Callahan had seen or heard was happening in practice. You can take that as hype all you want to. When I hear what they hear and they’re saying the same things its not really the same as anyone “hyping” anything. It’s almost a factual based telling of what’s going on. Clearly in the Illinois game there was a large disconnect from what was happening in practice and what happened against Illinois.

I stand by my conversation I had with @Blackshirts_Win_'ships before the Illinois game with how far I went with what it would mean if we lost that game and I’m on record calling it the worst loss in Frost’s career here and have argued with @Jim14510 when he says it wasn’t. I have nothing to be embarrassed about with what I said about that game and if anyone were to attempt to explain that one away theyre stupid.

I’ve been back since Illinois. I posted before MSU. I very rarely lurk. I’ve had mods reach out to me. I’m not golfing today and my son is down at the ranch riding horses and my wife is off on business. I got sent a screenshot of the dumbassery going on over here and decided I’d indulge today.

It’s interesting you were able to take note of my posting history. I can’t tell you that I was too aware of yours.

talent is part of the conversation - it’s not the entire conversation or Illinois wouldn’t beat Nebraska. I love your straw men though - clearly by stating that we were not exclusively discussing talent levels (which we weren’t), I think talent has no place in the equation.

And multiple posters have commented on you returning to white Knight for Scott Frost - I’m not the only one who noticed the convenient timing of your departure and return.

Go back and read the conversation dude.

Nowhere did anyone say talent was the entire conversation or hint at anything close. So I’m really not sure what you’re arguing now and it appears we’ve turned a million corners now so I’ll leave it at that.

You’ve got Big Tone and one other window licker calling me a white knight. The company you keep is an embarrassment to the board. Sorry sport.
