Frost close losses

I went to 2018 Michigan at the Big House and we didn’t even look like we were playing the same sport as those guys. Complete domination.

We outplayed and should’ve won against a top 10 team. This is our third loss this year where we had a positive win expectancy. We’re close to three games down on expected wins.
I don’t know if we should have won. We had our chances like normal and didn’t make a play late and made the mistake you couldn’t.

Anyone who thinks Frost will be fired at the end of the year is an absolute dumbass and shouldn’t be taken as a serious person.
You are quite possibly right on the will part, but do you believe Frost should be fired if he can’t make a bowl?

In my opinion, we played well enough in the second half to win by a lot. We absolutely shot our whole right foot off with a shotgun on offense in the first half.

Cam simply can’t give refs chances to call him for personal fouls anymore. That penalty he got absolutely destroyed what was a really good drive after a 10-15 yard gain on an option play to their 40.

Teddy Pro also needs to get his ass on the LOS on Yant’s screen that also started to give us a rhythm offensively. Every single dumbass thing that we could have done on offense in the first half we did.

I think if we play half as well in the first half offensively as we did in the second half we win by double digits.

Really depends on circumstances to be honest. If Adrian steps off the curb today and gets hammered by a beer truck are we going to hold the staff accountable for losing to Wisconsin, Cockeye, and tOSU?

We should beat Wisconsin in my view. I don’t see us beating the other two teams. We are capable of playing with Cockeye but we will fuck it up most likely.

We should beat Minnesota, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Those are quite frankly games we should wrap up in the 3rd quarter.

Ohio State is a bad matchup for us. Might be the only game on the schedule where we simply don’t have the horses in the stable

Cockeye is a great match up for us and it’ll likely be a game a lot like last night. The difference is Cockeye doesn’t have a single offensive skill position player that makes me worry about them.

However, it wouldn’t be an uncharacteristic thing for us to do if we found ways to lose the rest of those games to be honest.

I could absolutely see 7-5. I could absolutely see 4-8. If we get the same effort the rest of the way as we did last night I think itll be closer to 7-5 than it is 4-8.

Bo got 8 conference games in the shitty Big 12 and 4 non-conf games vs cupcakes

Frost gets 9 conference games in this league + OU

Close loses. Single plays changing the game from win to loss.

Now imagine how bad these loses would have been under Pelini…. would have been blowouts and NCAA records.

PS: not even defending Frost, I’m just pointing out that this is the best team we have had since 2009 or 2010. I think this team wins 10+ games most of the past few seasons with shit easy schedules and I think this team kills any Nebraska team from 2002-2008 and 2011-2020.

Anyhoo continue with the fighting

Bo’s teams could have made a bowl game off this schedule. Maybe Frost’s team will. We will see. Up to this point it’s hard to argue Frost is better. He would have most likely have a better winning percentage with Bo’s schedule that he has with his, but his teams are very undisciplined and make dumb mistakes at the worst times. Bo was also better at game management than Frost and every year but one Bo had good special teams.

Save 2009 and 2010 and which Bo team makes a bowl with our schedule?
I believe any of them could have. There are enough winnable games to get to 6 for any Bo team. The BIG west outside of Cockeye is way down. We can argue it all day anyway and no one will be proven right. Next you will tell me Frost is a better head coach at Nebraska than Bo.

Zero Pelini coached Nebraska team from 2011-2014 makes a bowl game with this schedule. Pelini never one time had the toughest schedule in the nation and when he got his own players in he got worse and worse. Let’s not forget Kevin Dillman was committed to play QB for Bo Pelini. A commitment they took over Joe Burrow.

You can argue that this year compared to the last 4 years the big ten west is down. But it wasn’t exactly the NFC North from 11-14.

You don’t know if they would have or wouldn’t. Pelini was smart enough to play a field position game and use his special teams to win games. I would also take his offenses over anything Frost has had up to this point. I’ve liked what I’ve seen 6 of the last 8 quarters from Frost’s offense, but overall the offense and special teams has been garbage the whole year. You’re not winning many games if two of your phases blow.

Which offense from 2011-2014 would you currently take over this one? We are talking about full offenses. Not individual players you want on this team.

the schedule has four easy wins on it (Illinois, Fordham, Buffalo, NW). I think several Pelini teams could also have pulled out ~MN and Purdue and I think Pelini was an awful coach.

Every Pelini team save 2009 and 2010 that had players that weren’t his on it loses to this 2021 Nebraska team.

I’d love to watch Thad Randle against Cam Jurgens. Or Cole Pensick and Jake Cotton against Ty Robinson or Damian Daniels.
