Breaking Frost and Greg Austin

For those of you that know more about collegiate level offensive lineman, what is the issue with ours?

Everyone says their size is there so what is it? Just not old enough to be men, apparently they’re gaining muscle and shedding and weight, so are they just pussies for their size?

Is it truly technique and not muscle/size?

Hard to tell how much is lack of talent/strength. They aren't midgets. They don't get a push or play with aggression. I bet Dan Young and Milt could mold these guys into a very solid bunch tho. Food for thought, it might be partly or largely coaching and scheme/technique.

I hate how they block their zone play. Seems like it's a 45 take off track block.
It looked like their technique was turrible, Saw Corcoran get owned on more than one occasion, Piper chip block a dude that didn't get picked up and sacked AM...that was a total head scratcher for me. They all played like this was their first game together, super disappointing

Get some. Find your own source
Don't cry over me questioning a dumb story, it's ok. You made a 15 word thread starting with "I guess". Not to mention most already heard there was a scuffle, all you added was a throat grab and nearly 24 hours later there have been no additional details from anyone, not a crazy thing for someone to question.

But get your own source…..or maybe come to a board where others have a source and ask questions. Yeah…maybe that would work! Especially when they run their mouth but don’t back much of it up. You get em tiny tony

Yeah but I'm the problem here 🤣

I re-watched the first half a bit ago. Rewinding each play several times to get a clear view of all players during each play.

First play of the game our left tackle completely whiffed, that LB made the tackle. Most plays had whiffs, poor assignment knowledge on who to block, or just not holding a block well or at all. When an O Line is not assignment sound and there are frequent breakdowns often, it is hard to get a consistent run game going. Our guys look lost too much of the time, not a well oiled machine. It wasn't all bad, there was some good stuff happening also, just not consistently.

A Mart doesn't help things as his footwork, pocket presence and overall QB technique is poor. This effects pass blocking as the QB an O Line need to be on the same page more. Also AM takes too long to make reads then tries to throw some back footed side arm shit far too often. Overall, it's a poorly organized group on offense.

I will say that this game didn't give us enough of a look to get a good read on Ervin or the RB's. Ervin a true frosh, Stepp his first year in the system. No Morrison at all and throwing Rhamir in during the 4th qtr was odd. Too early to write off any of the RB's. They need snaps and game experience more before we can say what we have in the RB stable IMO.

Which leads to the other thread about Frost and Austin...
Is it run game coordination and pass game coordination not meshing? Overall OC responsibility to make sure both are on the same page AND when adjustments need to be made are all in agreement? Do they all need to agree on in-game adjustments? Obviously they didn't. Totally agree on the need for more sample size on the run game prior to making a call on that. Overall the OLine performed like dog shit though...mixed in with a QB who STILL looks like a deer in the headlights when he drops back to pass.

The offense is an absolute joke. Zero rhythm, zero direction. Just awful
I don’t know what they’re trying to accomplish. And they’re predictable as hell. Their mesh concept is called like clockwork. Don’t understand what they’re trying to accomplish with their some weird form of mid zone where it seems they just try to track block dudes at a 45 degree angle.
