This was my 2000 post dear god
Just to be a little bit healthier.
I’m 49 and couldn’t quite lose my winter weight the last two summers for elk hunting.
Figured I’d get an early start on it.
Edit - didn’t draw any tags today, so registration hunt somewhere…

Where do you elk hunt? Looking to get a MT no-res public bow tag. Am not willing to cut booze out, though because I am not a quitter.

This is the first year I’ll miss in a long time.
That sucks.. sorry bro. This will be my first year even applying for a tag. Hopefully you still get out for some other species.
I was reading the public bow success rate in MT is about 2%, so I am under no illusion I will get anything, but camping in the middle of nowhere with my dad, and hiking and glassing for 2 weeks with him is well worth it if we get a tag.
To be clear, he and I have established that we are not sexually attracted to one another, and that we’ll have separate sleeping bags.
