How about Scott Frost as head coach?

Steve Octavian ended up contributing his senior season so not sure if he qualifies, but that fucker was big, fast, and mean and his first few years everyone was just waiting for him to play but never got in much.
I wish Eric Martin would of found one more gear. Loved watching him on kick off coverage and hoping he would rip someone's head off

Here's a few, some contributed more than others:

Robin Miller - there were comparisons to him being the next Mike Rozier
Leon Jackson - thought he was gonna be a stud
Octavious McFarlin - loved the name, he was a LB and was part of our old three-man punt return formation
Javario Burkes - RIP
Mike Mcloughlin (sp?) - QB that came in with Stuntz
Frantz Hardy - showed flashes
Erwin Swinney - never the same after his hip surgery or torn groin, whatever issue he had
Lornell McPherson - a solid nickel
Kareem Moss - great contributor in '94
Jay Simms - physical specimen
Leon Jackson is another good one.
Erwin Swinney, man I "hated" that guy. He was terrible compared to our other players at the time and always got beat. I feel bad now for how much I used to yell at him.

Injuries if I recall. Couldn't help but get hurt. According to something I looked up, after his injuries he quit, wanted to come back, but Solich said no thanks and the Unity Council agreed.

Wasn’t he part of that string of athletic publagia or whatever in the late 90s? We had a big issue with that for a while - I thought it had something to do with Boyd’s weight training program at the time.

This article explains what happened in 1999 and after -

Swinney was terrible but our DC Bohl didn't recognize it. Opposing teams did.

NU lost the 2000 KSU game due to the two of them. Bohl had Swinney in man coverage all game chasing around Quincy Morgan. Morgan abused him and we lost. One of the worst road games I ever attended.

Was that the one with the no-call facemask where Crouch was nearly decapitated?
