I read something on Reddit once that said SE Nebraska and NW MO is one the most heavily traveled child sex-trafficking areas in the country. The stretch of I-29 from Neb City to St Joe, MO is called the "Michael Ryan corridor."

I can believe that. Easy access to major thoroughfairs for the country. I-70 & I-80.

When I lived in Rockford, IL I was shocked to find out that area was known for big Sex Trafficking problems. Not just crime, violence, drugs and poverty. Lots of young girls & mature women would go missing around there. Some were blamed on the Biker Gangs like the Hells Angels that had a heavy presence there. I knew some of the police officers up there and the stories were scary. They told me about Latino & Eastern European groups that were known for snatching females out of parking lots or out of their driveways at night. Literally drive around in Vans and follow women. One of my friends had her 16 year old daughter followed by 2 Eastern European looking guys in a white Van. She walked out of PetsMart past them and got into her car. Drove to another store a couple miles away and they followed her there and even parked their van by her car. She ran into the store and called the cops. The van took off when she started running towards the store. Quite a few teenagers going missing in that area that they just assume were "Run-A-Ways". Poor crime ridden community. Got so bad in Rockford that government agencies like Homeland Security set up offices there.
