I mean… they went to the portal and found two guys with very similar measurables who are playing over him. If you’re gonna be a developmental program, that’s what you do. Gone are the days of riding this dude who has potential, guaranteeing his spot for 3 years. and hoping he pans out. If you ain’t first you’re last.

Yeah I mean they clearly needed more help at WR. I just don’t think you can look at Coleman’s first season and then hear he was on the bike for a fall practice and suddenly assume he’s a bust. He played last year in meaningful games. Flashed as a blocker and had a couple big catches. Were we expecting him to be all conference by now?

Yeah and he was so far from being ready that they went and got 2 transfers with the exact same body type as him. Sure sounds to me like Barney will probably be more impactful than him this year, wouldn’t surprise me if Nelson is too. I want him to be successful at Nebraska, he’s a freak athlete but if true freshman are already passing him I don’t think it’s too crazy to say he’ll never be a meaningful player. & I think he’s soft as charmin so when he doesn’t play this year, I think he leaves.

He played out of necessity, not because he was good enough to play. In my defense I thought he was a bust before I heard he was on the bike!
