I know Doug. He is no idiot.

I tend to lean toward the smoke screen as well, if it is Aranda he doesn’t need the distraction. I’m certain he is focused on preparing his team. Truth be told, I have no clue what is going on with the search. I tend not to believe anything. End of the month we find out.
The thing is…how much of a distraction would this really be? It’s a post on Husker Twitter fan account referencing a rumor on a message board. There have been literally dozens of these out there since Frost was fired in September. There’s nothing that makes this particular post more valid than any previous one, so why would possibly become a distraction for Aranda?

If anything, the fallout of this dude’s response has increased the level of potential distraction.

The whole thing is coordinated and I’m sure Turd is aware of what Ewald tweeted. Neither man comes off half-cocked.

This is likely a calculated move.

Could it be that Aranda wants the job, but we can’t come to an agreement with his agent so we throw this out there? Yes.

Could it be that this is to throw us off the scent? I’m doubting it.

Could it be that it’s truly not going to be Aranda? I’d lean more here than a smokescreen to be honest.
You think this is a calculated move? This strikes me more so as one of Turd's buddies being a loudmouth idiot.

It could be a huge distraction to the players. I’m not talking about rumors, but word leaking and the story gaining traction. It is why coaches deny it even if true.
