I mean if they hired him I'd guess that was arranged. Hire my bro and my kid will commit. If Frost gets fired next year bro has a year of P5 experience to get him better job offers and Dylan can still jump ship before signing day.

If he doesn't get fired that would mean Nebraska won some games and turned the corner? I can't imagine they keep Frost without minimum getting to a bowl game but I thought the same thing going into this year.
Seems like a lot of ifs for a guy that wouldn’t be on campus for more than 2.5 years, and do you really want to risk your OL performance when your job is on the line? IDK much about Donovan, so maybe they have more faith in him that just the opportunity to get his nephew.

It's not like he's an accountant right now.

Can’t forget the Raiolas are Hawaiian. Family is a huge part of the culture.

CAN WE JUST HIRE BILL O"BOYLE AND BE DONE WITH IT FOR THE OL...FUCK

308 ties and looks like this? 100% will bring the pipeline back

Doesn’t it seem strange that, for argument’s sake, you hire Graham Harrell and, of his own volition, the first two guys he wants on his staff are Mickey Joseph and Donovan Raiola?
Harrell hasn't exactly been around that long. His network might be fairly small.

Not sure how many people have watched the Bears play this year. Oline might be the worst I've ever seen since I began watching NFL football.
Juan Castillo is supposedly highly regarded as an NFL OL coach. Bears Oline problem is largely due to Ryan Pace & then the idiot Nagy does next to nothing to help the situation. There’s only 2 quality starters so I wouldn’t say Riaola can be blamed for any of that.

I’ve actually met Doug a number of times when he was the OC at Alabama. He was recruiting Jake Waters when he was at IWCC. I can’t remember who Bama had at QB that year, but they were planning on putting pressure on him for a decision on whether he was coming back or going to the NFL. It might have been McElroy. But if McElroy was going pro they were going to offer Jake Waters.

I wanna say DN has since been at Florida and Michigan.

Waters was getting recruited by Bama and ended up at K State?

Also as a kind of related side note, it's hilarious to me that between him and Bronson Marsh, Jake ended up way better off than Marsh. Bronson was a strange dude with an even stranger road to CFB.

Mickey Joseph no
Donovan Raiola yes

Good point nonetheless

I'll take your word for it. All I know is they suck and Fields makes them worse holding onto the ball too long.
