I just dont think its good timing for either side. The PSU work environment isnt going to be a positive place for any coach. They want turn key national titles, not a 3 year build up. If PSU hires another guy and he is a scrub that flames out and its year 6 or 7 here, maybe he is ready to leave on the 2nd go around. I don't think he is ready yet though.

If he hadnt had the Carolina experience maybe I'd be a little bit more concerned, but I think it changed his POV. Rhule has been all guru lately. Push comes to shove I dont think he goes.

The worst part is, I doubt Kraft knows what he’s going to do for sure let alone Rhule knowing what he is going to do. I’m sure there’s been feelers put out to Rhules agent but at this point I’m betting that’s as far as it’s gone because like I’ve said I can’t think he’s in their top 3 maybe top 5 candidates.

I would imagine he's in their top 5 at the very least. Have no idea whether he will stay or go if called upon. I like him. I hope he stays. Don't blame him if chooses to go elsewhere.

He's a damn good culture builder. Has a good eye for assistant coaching talent. It would be a loss, but gotta trust Dannen to hire the right guy in that case.

Maybe, but urgency isn't his only attribute. Guy can flat out coach and is a magician with the football mindset amongst his program. His average talented squads believe they can compete with anyone in the nation and back it up on the field. He would kill it at PSU.

What are the schools like in population 40,000 State College?

Hopefully not what happens but if it does, I hope the donors are ready to open their checkbooks and get Deboer or Kiffin.

I think at this point Rhule is still coaching for the PSU job. 9-3 with a win in State College would probably do it, but an 8-4 finish with our schedule wouldnt move the needle for PSU especially if we lose there
