Dayton on TV

Lol why? That's a horrendous take...
Nah he’s actually low key right. Dylan> 1 year transfer starter because Lateef won’t be good enough and then Trae Taylor starts as a redshirt freshman. Rhule learned his lesson with Dylan and won’t want a true freshman starter again.

But Dayton has the tools to be a starter too. Do I think he will be a starter here? No. But to say that the program is in trouble if he is starting is wild.

You're making some wild predictions here. You've already written off Lateef (a former 4-star who is getting good reports so far as a true freshman). You've written off Dayton. Kids can develop. That's what good coaches do. If either Lateef or Dayton are eventual starters here, I won't be pushing the panic button...

I would agree that OP was being a little dramatic but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if Lateef transfers after this year. QBs don’t really wait around 2 years for playing time anymore. Why sit 2 years behind a 5 star when there’s another (borderline) 5 star right behind you.

I also think Trae is a lot better than Lateef & Dayton but Rhule won’t start him as a true freshman so that leaves 1 year open.

I agree that managing the QB room has to be about as hard of a job as there is.

My hope is that Dylan takes a huge step forward this year, illustrating how beneficial it is to work in this system and with Dana. If Dylan is able to take that step and we can sell Lateef on sitting behind Dylan for 1 more year before he jumps to the league, that seems like a manageable sale.

But hell - we still have Marco here too and he is a very capable QB that could develop.
