Georgia high school football is bananas and often coaches are criminals waiting to be caught. Kids jump from program to program with little more evidence of living in an area than an apartment (paid for by booster or the high school through cooked books). That’s fucking bananas
Lol why? That's a horrendous take...If he ever starts a game for us the program is in big trouble
Nah he’s actually low key right. Dylan> 1 year transfer starter because Lateef won’t be good enough and then Trae Taylor starts as a redshirt freshman. Rhule learned his lesson with Dylan and won’t want a true freshman starter again.Lol why? That's a horrendous take...
But Dayton has the tools to be a starter too. Do I think he will be a starter here? No. But to say that the program is in trouble if he is starting is wild.Nah he’s actually low key right. I would agree that OP was being a little dramatic but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if Lateef transfers after this year. QBs don’t really wait around 2 years for playing time anymore. Why sit 2 years behind a 5 star when there’s another (borderline) 5 star right behind you.But Dayton has the tools to be a starter too. Do I think he will be a starter here? You're making some wild predictions here. You've already written off Lateef (a former 4-star who is getting good reports so far as a true freshman). You've written off Dayton. Kids can develop. That's what good coaches do. If either Lateef or Dayton are eventual starters here, I won't be pushing the panic button...
I agree that managing the QB room has to be about as hard of a job as there is.I would agree that OP was being a little dramatic but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if Lateef transfers after this year. I also think Trae is a lot better than Lateef & Dayton but Rhule won’t start him as a true freshman so that leaves 1 year open.
I wonder where they get the money? Who gives this much of a shit whether their high school team wins?Georgia high school football is bananas and often coaches are criminals waiting to be caught. I believe that is true. Even heard of Michigan and tOSU reaching down and paying through boosters in Ga highschools. Many times it's some of the same boosters who help fund CFB team's NIL. You would think that favors the Dawgs, but around Atl there are rich Tech, Bama, Auburn, LSU alumn among others. Ga recruits aren't like Texas or Louisiana recruits where they are extremely hard to pull from the home State. Atlanta has long been the SEC alumni melting pot. Also, you are correct if you think putting that kind of money into high schools is insane. For those boosters, it really does "mean more."I wonder where they get the money? I always heard from a coach friend that in the pre-NIL days that the SEC schools started paying possible recruits via high school boosters, but idk if that is true
Yeah, my guy is in basketball, and he definitely didn’t say it necessarily favored UGA . . .I believe that is true. Absolutely not with basketball haha, but that is slowly turning. Ant man went to UGA, but terrible coach and team. Clemson, Auburn, Bama, and TN were crushing us for cruits in football. Now with NIL, anybody's game with Miami and TXs of the world advantage.Yeah, my guy is in basketball, and he definitely didn’t say it necessarily favored UGA . . .
