Crawford vs Spence

He turns 36 in two months I believe.

How much time does he have before his speed and quickness start going? It's starting to degrade now I'd have to think.

As others have mentioned, this is different than George Foreman fighting until he was 50...Bud RELIES on speed/quickness. When he loses that he's done. Anyone at that weight basically is.

I just don't want to see the guy tarnishing his legacy looking sad out there like Joe Namath in his later yrs. I just don't know what age that would be.

I agree, but he sure didn't look slow last night. Might have been his best ever and like Husker_in_OK said he's finally making the big buck. 5 more fights will probably make him more money than his first 40 did.

As far as legacy goes, with the way he is boxing right now 5 good fights, some more belts and he starts climbing the GOAT lists that he is just now making. Yeah a loss would tarnish his record but 4 more belts would put him in an arguable position for one of THE GOAT spots. Hard to turn down challenging Leonard, Chavez, Duran, Mayweather. Pacquiao, Robinson and Hagler for all time honors, don't you have to try for it and at least take the payday.

I hope he doesn't waste much time, he can rest on his laurels when he is done, right now time is the biggest obstacle between Bud and immortality. He needs to stop one before he loses, knowing when that is is the tough part.

Certified ass-whooping. Bud has made me fall in love with the sport of boxing and it’s a treat getting to watch how he does it. He treats it as an art and man… he’s so damn good at it. His preparation and how fucking locked in he gets is impressive. He is a pro’s pro.

I can’t stop watching this fight… Boxing coaches are going to bring this one up for years to show the value of the jab.

He countered so many shots from Spence with a jab that had more behind it than Spence’s power punch, then left his power punch wide open

Just stayed in 3rd gear all night, didn't need anything else.

Since this thread is still active... still so completely impressed with the performance Bud gave in that fight. Might be the best overall fight of techinical and boxing dominance I can remember. It was an amazing display of a fighter showing a complete mastery of the sport. Bud took out a 3 belt champ and made him look silly in comparison. It was really something to watch. Spence is no chump, which makes it that much more impressive.
