He won’t move up. Don’t be surprised if he’s doneI was just reading something that basically said his only options are to:
- fight nobodies at his current weight
- move up
- fight catch weight fights
I can't imagine any of those three sound good to him at this point in his career
time to retire sumbitch Jimbo <8
Retire as the GOAT?time to retire sumbitch Jimbo <8
if that’s what you call itRetire as the GOAT?
NFL red zone has been very enjoyable since that discovery.I’m using the link that’s posted on page 1 and it’s working perfectly
Definitely doing that this seasonL

Myman.gifDefinitely doing that this season
I'd like to see him defend his title a couple of times. There are a couple of up and comers in the weight division, beat them and if they end up being pretty good then it's a good thing to have on your legacy. Then move up to 154 to finish the career out.I was just reading something that basically said his only options are to:

Fighters almost always say they want the rematch. Then they talk about a tune up, and then something else comes along and people forget about it.To be fair he wasn't there when he gave that answer.... He looked concussed as fuck
I don’t like the idea of 154 for Bud. He is on the small to average size for a welterweight as it is. At some point, that size catches up. He is far more talented than any of the current 154s, but that size is worrisome. I wouldn’t mind seeing him fight Boots, but not sure they want that fight after what they saw tonight.I'd like to see him defend his title a couple of times. He's finally got a name that will draw, his best earning power is now, time to take advantage. I figure 6 -10 more fights before retirement, should be able to get $100 to 200 million or so. Figure 5 more years or so. Just has to watch his speed, if he slows down it's time to quit. With his defensive ability he has not taken much damage, he looked fresh at the end.
Take on Ennis or Ortiz or Stanionas or Thurman in a PPV then maybe a no name in Omaha. Then go to 154 and consolidate the belts to finish the career, he'd have 4 or 5 years, 4 to 8 fights to get it done. If he can win all 4 belts in 3 divisions, it might be something no one could touch forever and go down as an all time GOAT.
But that is kinda at the max and having everything work out. He's 35 and could slow down at anytime and be done. But this is about the best he's looked, it was a masterful performance. Might come down to what is more important risking a loss on an unblemished record or another payday and growing legacy. I hope he goes for it, 5-6 years of focused hard work then retire with well over a hundred million and an all time legacy and enjoy the last 50 years.
Speaking of Charlo:I don’t like the idea of 154 for Bud. He is on the small to average size for a welterweight as it is. At some point, that size catches up. If Bud goes up, 1 fight is enough. Take on Charlo and then be done. A win there literally gets you toward the front of the P2P GOAT convo, if he isn’t already there.

He turns 36 in two months I believe.People forget how severely underpaid Crawford has been when he was under Arum. Now that he's reached the top, the time for him to really maximize his earning potential is now. He's not retiring and walking away from the big pay days that await him.

How much time does he have before his speed and quickness start going? It's starting to degrade now I'd have to think.
As others have mentioned, this is different than George Foreman fighting until he was 50...Bud RELIES on speed/quickness. When he loses that he's done. Anyone at that weight basically is.
I just don't want to see the guy tarnishing his legacy looking sad out there like Joe Namath in his later yrs
