Eichorst wanted to be that same type of AD here, but he was a lawyer and didn't have the background that Alverez had. HC's were just puppets under Alverez, and that's what Eichorst hired Riley to be.

I remember sending Dean a dm back in the day. Heard from a reliable source that Eichorst had promised Diaco the head coach job the next year. The plan was Eichorst would fire Riley and over to Diaco.
