I'm just mad because it will probably work out for Wisconsin and I don't want it to LOL. They'll probably come out fired up & wanting to play for Leonhard. He's probably a way more fiery leader than Chryst was.

***Full disclosure: I'm in that subset of NU fans who hate Wisconsin WAY more than they hate Cockeyes. I want the Wisconsin program to die a fiery death.

I don’t think so- Highly doubt Wisconsin would take the risk of banking on JL to work out. More likely Aranda pulled the ultimatum card.

I don't think Leonhard would do that to Chryst. Wisconsin has finished unranked in 3 of the last 4. Chryst "fixed" the offense in the offseason and it's worse than it was last season, and his best seasons appear to be behind him. Maybe Leonhard being on campus and all of the early season firings made the move happen faster, but it seems more likely they were ready to move on than Leonhard made a power play

But something stranger than wanting to move on from Chryst is afoot here. No one had him on even a luke warm seat. He’s earned 1 slow start haha.

Somebody did something. Maybe it wasn’t Leonhard - maybe it was that fuck head Barry Alvarez. Maybe Chryst and Barry butt heads so much they couldn’t take it any more. But with the new landscape of hiring in college football, someone said “we can’t keep Leonhard through another cycle unless we make him OUR guy” is my best guess.

What will be interesting is - let’s assume Leonhard is their full time guy moving forward - they just made his path to success MUCH more difficult by pissing off the locker room for no real reason. That alone makes for a hard climb. Then gambling on a guy who has no head coaching experience. And you did all of that by killing off a guy whose spent 60% of his entire life in Madison?

Because "Never won a national title" Wisconsin didn't spend the better part of 40 years cock slapping all of college football around leading to those sad losers wanting their pound of flesh. What I'm trying to get at is Wisconsin has a cute little amount of success but is still irrelevant in the eyes of the Lord

It would also be a little different if he wasn’t sitting with a losing record right now and looked horrible. If they gave Chryst a chance to finish the year and lets say he would have got to 8 wins I bet there would be more backlash.

Honestly, this probably has more to do with Wisconsin’s new AD wanting his own guy like Eichorst did by firing Bo. If Barry was there, Chryst wouldn’t be fired since he was about stability and was pissed that Bert left for Arkansas and Anderson left for Oregon State since he was West Coast guy. I’ll almost bet that Wisconsins AD will probably be fired in a few years if this new coach is a dud once they take over.
