Hey for my part, I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough about any of this to have anything else to say haha so I'm bowing out as well. You're putting in a valiant effort to end this conversation but I don't think it's working.

I just hope what's her tits in Italy respects the law of the land: the United States ConstitutionYou're putting in a valiant effort to end this conversation but I don't think it's working.
This is the first time I've heard of the lady or party so my knowledge on the topic is not even limited.Hey for my part, I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough about any of this to have anything else to say haha so I'm bowing out as well.
She wouldn't have dumped tea in the harbor if that's what you're askingIs her party affiliation similar to the Democratic party and its relationship with slavery?
Serious question.
So, I admittedly didn't really know the technical definition of Fascism and who was associated with it up until a few minutes ago when I googled it. Not a history guy whatsoever. Obviously, not great findings. But, as DB says, two things can be true at once. That lady may be associated with some shitty people and shitty concepts, but there's nothing wrong with agreeing with what she said in that 2 minute video. In my opinion it seems like a classic example of why Twitter's algorithm is fucking stupid and everyone should switch their Twitter view from "Home" (Twitter shows you random crap that is supposedly related to who you follow and what you Like) to "Latest Tweets" (you only see tweets from the accounts you follow).
This hypothetical situation seems pretty realistic to me: Buschini follows some Christian-related accounts, he likes some tweets about how following Jesus would help the world, and suddenly Twitter's algorithm takes that info and pulls this tweet into his feed. So he sees a random video of a random lady giving a speech that talks about Christianity and family values, so he retweets it... Then he comes back to Twitter later and sees some replies telling him the random lady is the new prime minister of Italy whose political party has a direct connection to past fascist parties and how she has racist immigration policies and yada yada yada. Buschini had no idea he was wading into anything like that, he had no intention of promoting an Italian politician, especially one from a fascist-linked party, so he tweets out an apology, and now his replies are full of weirdos saying he bowed down to the "woke mob."
The internet is a stupid, stupid place.
Now do the Azov Battalion.
There’s nothing wrong with agreeing with what she says in that specific video. It’s the association with the other things that she advocates for that have people up in arms. I’m not going to go into what those things are, because I don’t know and I don’t care. I’m just trying to explain why people are getting upset. So, I admittedly didn't really know the technical definition of Fascism and who was associated with it up until a few minutes ago when I googled it. Kind of similar to the left socialist/Marxism playbook. Same books, different covers.Lots of straw man arguments in that video. Step 1 in the fascist playbook is always blame the nefarious “Other” who is at once both strong and weak at the same time.
@huskerj12 said it best, the internet sucksThere’s nothing wrong with agreeing with what she says in that specific video. It’s kind of like if you went onto the Scrolls and said “I think Frost made a good call by bringing in Whipple, Busch, and Joseph this year and he deserves some credit for that.” There’s not really anything objectionable about that, but 500 scrollers and gonna blow you up about how much of a potato you are for supporting Frost who is without question the worst coach of all time.
Neither does Antifa lolSo, I admittedly didn't really know the technical definition of Fascism and who was associated with it up until a few minutes ago when I googled it. ANTIFA can also blow a big oneNeither does Antifa lol
Propaganda. Meet any opposition head on with accusations of racism and fascism. What exactly is racist about the new Italian prime minister? The lazy fascism allegations have already been dismantled as baseless lies
Yeah, but isn’t that just an attack on her party and not her? The most I can find is that she is currently a nationalist who is also anti-immigration and abortion etc. Sure we can debate whether those are correct policies, but I am not sure that makes her a fascist.
I think your parents/grandparents would be more pissed off for you reacting to being manipulated by the media and not actually understanding the actual positions of the new Italian government. Pro family, anti ILLEGAL immigration, pro religious choice, pro national identity and pride. I’m confident the parents/grandparents and WW2 vets would be for these stances. This is an oversimplification haha. I don't pretend to know my ins and outs of Italian political history, but this new party in power pretty openly traces its history and influence back to Mussolini and still uses the symbol used by multiple fascist parties since the 40s. The "woke mob" didn't just make that up.
Imagine how pissed off our parents/grandparents (I don't know how old people are here) would be to see this crap just get brushed aside after they liberated Europe from these fools 🙄
