Except you are forgetting his ego/legacy. I don't think he cares about the money at all - he can make money doing whatever he wants.
But if he quits now, he won't be considered a failure at all. He took over the dog shittiest of programs and got them "competing" at the national level almost overnight. But now he won't have his generational talent at WR/CB or his son at QB, who, despite the head case that he is, was a legitimate talent at QB.
He will not be able to sustain the success he has had. He needs to get out while he is "on top."

He could potentially use his “success” at Colorado to land a bigger job & bigger paycheck down the road. In the meantime, he can get a fat paycheck from Fox or someone & ride the Coach Prime persona

Exactly. Can you imagine if he leaves now, going out "on top." Then, in a few years, FSU opens up and he is in better medical condition - they will throw so much money at him...

Agreed. he needs to get out before it all falls back down in a shit hole. He can ride his coaching "success" in studio shows for a decade or so. He'll never coach again after Colorado, but stay around as a media "personality", doing tv and speaking engagements, appearances and crap like that.

This is why Rhule was so nice to him the last 2 yrs. He knew where this was going.

I don't think Deion will be good FWIW. I don't think he'll watch the games or do the research. Agreed that Rhule will be great when he moves over to do this.
Deion is going to annoy me when he hits the FOX panel. I actually like Urban. Leinart. Christ Peterson. Deion is going to annoy me unless he finds some humility and actually makes it about the teams and less about himself.
