And so it begins...(tracking Coach Prime decommits/transfers)

If you’re in your 50s and you’re getting upset about a retired jersey you have bigger issues…
Not really.

Imaging working for a company and when that company recognizes everyone who helped build that company up, instead of recognizing you for your contributions, they recognize the owner’s son for his participation on projects that didn’t amount to anything for the company.

Anyone would be pissed in that situation. In fact, if you weren’t pissed about that, it would seem that person has bigger issues.

Ones a game that children play, and ones a real life situation. Not really the same.

Perhaps. It doesn’t however lessen the accomplishments of what the teams of the late 80s and early 90s achieved versus the teams of the last two years.

That is very clear.

One of the two retired numbers won a Heisman and was the first pick in the draft. The other put up some decent numbers.

I will give the Heisman winning, first pick of the draft a retired number. Perhaps not within days of leaving, but it makes sense.

Those players that came before and accomplished some pretty amazing things not having their numbers retired to this day…the balance is certainly off.

A similar scenario is retiring Joe Ganz jersey a week after he leaves and not retiring Tommy Fraziers. Not exactly the same, but pretty close.

Doesn’t make sense.

Pretty dang close to the same thing. Retiring a jersey of a player that set the season passing record, but no titles and really not even a good over all record. Ganz at least won a bowl game and played in a conference championship. Sanders went 13-12 and lost every bowl game he's been in.

Hunter I understand, just think it is rushed, but no way should Sanders jersey have been retired. Not when Hagan and Stewart haven't had theirs retired.

I disagree. If you're an alumni, former player, and a fan? You're going to be upset about the mockery that's being made.

And the football players do what? Play football
Are they not getting paid in both money and school benefits like a scholarship? Do they not have both football program and academic standards that they to meet every semester? Isn’t there time set aside for these things for them?

So in a set amount of hours per day, they have to meet a standard put out by their organization in return for money and benefits.

What does that sound like?
