Adrian explains why he left

Thought this quote was interesting….

“Being Nebraska’s head coach is a demanding job, and no one will understand the things Frost goes through other than him”

This “Woe is Me” attitude is exactly what’s wrong with the program. The guy makes 5 million a year to be head coach at Nebraska. My God, sounds awful! I can only imagine how shitty it is to be a quarterback here too, wah wah!
Yup it's plagued pretty much all of our recent coaches other than Mike Riley, ironically, who just seemed happy to be anywhere at all.

My friends daughter is close friends with Adrian's girlfriend at KSU. They've been saying for a while that he was transferring to KSU because of her. I should get good info from them on Adrian and what really happened. I'll prime the daughter with some questions to ask Adrian. Also I have friends who have kids on the KSU football team so will ask them also.

I think it was good for Adrian and NU to part ways, the relationship had come to the end of it's healthy Life Cycle.

Adrian leaving is best for him and Nebraska. I wish him nothing but the best as by all accounts, he's a tough player and was a great teammate that endured through the most chaotic times in Nebraska football.

Just like other recent transfers - JD, Wandale, Vedral, etc, the weird message board stalker fans will chide him if he's anything short of a Heisman winner next season.
Did Vedral start again this year? I didn’t follow him at all

That's his own fault. The injury happened Sept 25th. It was on this board and NCIU by Sept 30th, I knew it at the Sept 29th practice. It was mentioned on the radio talking about it Oct 4th.

He's upset it came out on air 4 weeks afterwards?

100% Grandma is running around pissed that she's on the low end of the totem pole.

I think @HuskerDocCo has a burner account.

Glad he’s gone. Locker room energy caused him to throw 4 picks against Purdue, ok, idk maybe a 3-time captain would go out & lead the team. This guy’s whole career is one excuse after another.

Breakdown
• Broke his jaw on the first drive of the Michigan State game. His life sucked afterward. Drinking steak through a straw. Felt like if they would've won that game their season would've been completely different... said "we're basically the same team." He'd never say bad things, but def salty vibes from the special teams snafu.
• Michigan game was the most fun he's had playing in a football game. Thinks Aidan Hutchinson is impressive, but not THAT impressive. Ref told him after the fumble that he didn't know why no one blew the play dead, but it's not reviewable.
• Poor locker room energy in the Purdue game, although he doesn't attribute the loss to that.
• Got a high ankle sprain 4 days before the Minnesota game. That impacted the overall game plan, and he thinks it made a discernable difference.
• VERY salty that Frost/ Gus Johnson spilled the beans on his broken jaw after the Ohio State game. He wanted the ability to tell that story himself. A lot of his family members didn't even know. Said he didn't think it was appropriate.
• He feels responsible for Verdu getting fired. High tensions with Frost after the firings. Overall, said he did a good job explaining things, but it's a tough position. Some people understood, some people didn't.
• Injured his shoulder/ Labia in the Wisconsin game right before the end of the first half. The second half was tough but still had a decent showing. Blamed his INT on the injury and wanted to get surgery ASAP after the game to save his NFL prospects.
• He did test the NFL waters as part of his decision to leave NU. Made the decision to transfer to bolster his NFL prospects.
• Needed a new opportunity, new scenery, new challenge.
• Lots of love. Gave examples of security people hugging him, wishing him well, etc. He claims Frost wanted him to stay.
• Coming back just didn't feel right. Too much baggage. The relationship had naturally concluded. Better for both him and Frost.
• All the NU socials unfollowed him immediately lol.

Thanks for the cliffs!

I'm pretty sure some of the local guys, maybe happer and basnett, maybe even robin, mentioned on twitter and rss that his jaw looked all fucked up in warm ups before it was mentioned on the broadcast.
