5* WR Demond Demas CB to

Maybe Betts can try again for the 9th time and then we can have

WR: Coleman/Washington
WR: Demond/IGC
WR: Betts/Doss

Or some combination

And we will have a former 5* QB transfer from Ohio State throwing to them

OMG unstoppable

And White will return to coach the D for one more year

I'm not sure we lose a game next year

Plus we will be going into 2024 having gone 10-4 the previous season (9-3 in regular season, loss to Bitchigan, then win bowl game)

Lets not forget Lawrence Phillip heinous crime that wasn't bad enough for him to not play again for the Husker. He did far worse than Demas. Add Christian Peter to that List of players who got in trouble in high school and college including charges of 3rd degree sexual assault. Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rogers was arrested for robbing a gas station, while he was in school. Lets not forget Lawrence Phillips. Damon Benning made some mistakes as he was accused of beating his girlfriend. Tom Osborne hid a gun in his desk for Tyrone Williams who was under investigation for use of a weapon to commit a felony. We know dam well that Richie Incognito was all kinds of crazy in the head but somehow managed to last a few years on the team. Many of our best players have had serious issues that didn't prevent them from playing.

Again, Matt goes to Coach TO to learn more about what can make things work at Nebraska

People are absolutely insane if they are not excited about this. Our WR room is a joke next year without some serious help. Kemp is gone. Washington MIGHT be able to come back, but he hasn't exactly been stellar and will be coming off of a significant injury. Ditto for IGC - what have either of them shown that would make us fight for them to come back for another year? That means Alex Bullock will be our leading returning WR.

I really like the young guys we brought in last year's class - Coleman, Lloyd and Doss all have potential, but are yet to show us anything. And hopefully Bell can actually make it to campus. I also like the guys coming in this years class. But that WR room is laughable. Demas would set foot on campus and not only be the most talented WR in that room, but also would be the one with the most P5 production! We need to take a shot on a guy like him. We don't have a choice. This room has been the worst run room over the course of the past 3 years - simply look at the production. Its pathetic. We have not developed any WRs, we have relied on 1-year transfers. I don't blame Rhule or McGuire for how shitty this room is. The damage was done long before they got here. Look at the recent history...

2023 - Kemp (1-year transfer from Virginia)
2022 - Palmer (1-year transfer from LSU)
2021 - Toure (1-year transfer from Montana)
2020 - Wandale (transferred to Kentucky)

How did it get this way? Look at our past few classes of high school WRs -
2022
Janiran Bonner - Now an H-back
Decoldest Crawford - transferred
Victor Jones - transferred

2021
Kamonte Grimes - transferred
Latrell Neville - transferred
Shawn Hardy - transferred

2020
Marcus Flemming - transferred
Zavier Betts - Quit
Alante Brown - transferred
Omar Manning - Bust

We haven't hit on a single WR prospect in over 3 years. We need to completely retool this room.

Where is Bell?

No wonder Dean is defending this guy’s history of beating up girls
Dean going with “the charges were dropped”
in other words some aTm oil $ made it go away, if he went away
But the girls dad attacked him at his hearing & mom popped one is his relatives in her face
Yeah “nothing happened”…

…& there was another girl previously
& a drug charge
& he didn’t attend class @ aTm

Weird offer
It’s not gonna work & hopefully he doesn’t come here & beat up a Nebraska girl..
Does he vape???

I think it's fine. I think people just need to calibrate their expectations more to what they'd expect from a random JUCOs flyer than they should to a 5 star

There is no doubt this guy would probably increase the athleticism in the WR room. Nobody is arguing that room doesnt need help. Its the other stuff that is the problem, he has proven in the past that he isnt a good human, some fans are willing to risk that on this guy, some arent.

I didn't know this until a few weeks ago, but apparently he's not eligible to play this year because of grades. So he's redshirting and can play next year. And as far as I know these are because of grades in high school, not grades since he got to UNL.
He's really talented but people backed off his senior year because of the grades. That's the reason we could get him.
