#2ndChoice to Wisconsin Confirmed

#2ndChoice and Wisconsin will always be competing with the other Big 10 powers for their players.

Rhule and Nebraska will go down to the talent rich south to get athletes. Nebraska will have a much higher ceiling.
Yea look at Palmer. We gush over the guy, and he is a very good player, but SEC rosters all have guys like him. The guy could have raped about every DB group we played if Thompson was healthy and we had an average line. It’s also a reason we need to try to keep Mickey.

#2ndChoice sucks guys...he has a losing record at the P5 level. He will fail miserably at UW.

Seriously though...not sure how someone can get pissy about either hire. They are both TBD.

If i had a dollar for every time i’ve heard the bolded over the last 10 years. Someday we will learn we need to recruit where we play. Hard nosed midwest kids who love the cold.

I’d love to get back into Ohio. Kentucky turned their program around doing it the past 10 years.

Ohio has never really did anything for us. A left over player in Texas is a lot better than one in Ohio. There are so many more players to get too.

Hopefully we will have both with Rhule and his assistants. We won’t know for sure for a few years anyways. We have a ton of player development to catch up on.
We just beat Cockeye and had Wisconsin beat for 59 minutes. Competitive against most of our division. We shouldn’t need to completely burn it all down.

Nowhere in my post did I say that we should not recruit the Midwest.

And Rhule was at a G5 for 5 years and then at a smaller Big 12 for 3 years… people act like he built Baylor… they went 2-7 the season after he left.

Sorry, just frustrating that Wisconsin is going to make a bigger splash than us in our own division. I thought we had deeper pockets and a better reputation than that.
Calm Down Scott Shanle

I agree with this.

We've historically pulled from Texas and the south more than some of the other programs in the B1G. That could be the edge Nebraska holds in the longer term.

Find the name that doesn’t belong. I won’t go down as a TrevDavidian like some of ya’ll 😉 #TrevCoalition #TrevsBoysClub #TraditionTrevolition

We don’t need to recruit Ohio though. They don’t have enough top notch talent to worry about after we pick up the bread crumbs from OSU, Michigan, and some others.

I was told the day that Rhule and Nebraska agreed on the contract that the CSA had #2ndChoice prepared to begin negotiations if the Panthers blew it up
Agree - the feel to this, both timing-wise and info-wise, is that #2ndChoice was waiting to see if Nebraska was going to be filled before he committed to Wisconsin.

No but you’re blind if you think our line play is close to adequate. Whisky and cockeyes both had terrible offenses this year which made it more competitive. Cockeyes beat themselves with turnovers and penalties.
