An absolute honor to be here. The Platinum Board was an "urban legend" you could say, over on HOL, that I had tried to figure out for quite some time. And then that message came to join. An absolute honor.
I let my HOL membership go a year or two ago cause it is completely irrelevant if you're on here.

Someone on another board just happened to reference the platinum board in a thread after Frost was fired so I had to research and found. Fun board. Fun people.

Being honest here. I'd have never known if @HuskerGarrett didn't DM me on HOL asking to take a look. I probably would've started to wonder as the clues would've piled up. On Inside Nebraska, I still have "thee" Platinum Board signature that we all agreed to. (. )( .)
I joined thinking it was truly elite and then discovered it was a bunch of degenerates. đ

I've always been a pretty solid shit poster, but tPB has allowed me to evolve my game into what I consider to be an elite tier of shit posting

Three stories that stick out to me during that time:
1. I think it was around the time that Frost was initially hired, and rumors swirling everywhere. "The Platinum Board" had popped up a few times on HOL, as to having the real inside information. And it was subtly described as essentially the message board for the 90s players, and then special invites were handed out to their friends, virtually impossible to get on if you were a nobody, like myself.
2. Right before Bolt was hired, rumors again swirling about Rob Childress at the time. Was talking to a co-worker who is on HOL as well, and she had told me she heard through the grapevine of her friends, and the info came from "The Platinum Board" that Childress was a done deal.
3. Random poster on HOL I'm pretty sure, had a unique avatar of T Fraz, more unique that your standard google image, and the post was actually a response to my first story. I had posted on HOL, and some may remember this lol but I said something along the lines of how do I get invited to the platinum board. The response was basically "if you have to ask, then you're not invited" with a wink if I remember right. For a while I literally thought it was Frazier himself lol because of what I had expected the platinum board to be.
Obviously the goal/plan at the time, was to somehow post enough good responses and messages HOL that this board would think I was worthy enough for the inside info lol

âThe platinum boardâ was a running joke on HOL for years. Then G got bored at work one day and decided to create it here as I think pretty much a joke.
I got a DM from him on HOL inviting me over here. I wasnât much of a quality poster there (or here for that matter) so idk why he invited me but I joined up, again kinda assuming the whole thing was a joke.
When the donations first started, the top tier of donation came with mod powers. I believe I was the first to donate, and when my mod powers didnât turn on automatically, I called out G in a thread. He turned on my mod powers. So yes I literally bought being a mod here, but Iâve done very little modding since then except when @HuskerDocCo assigns a random report to me here and there. In which case I just assign it right back to him.
For real though, itâs really cool what this place has become. The first EPP was literally satire. And now we pretty much have the best inside her information of any Husker board out there.
