Using NFL anything to extrapolate to CFB stats is one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen on here in a while. As someone else noted, it’s basically a different sport….
Do you have anything interesting/compelling to share other than denigrating other people or calling them stupid? If not, shut the fuck up.

No, what I was arguing is that what Rhule is saying about how he wants to play is not congruent with what his historical performance has been. I'm unsure why that could be so triggering for many folks on here, but I suppose this is a sensitive bunch.
Feels like you’ve shifted goalposts multiple times ITT.

What historical performance metrics have you shared regarding special teams?

It seems like I posted something very clear, and a bunch of people got their feelings hurt and decided to focus the conversation on offense, which I then addressed in subsequent posts.

But your concern is special teams right? So what exactly are you arguing?

Rhule is saying they want to be great at special teams but they aren’t now and haven’t been at his previous stops?

Yes, exactly!

Yes, exactly!
I have to tell you, as a fairly new member to this board, I've found it really bizarre to try and share ideas in good faith without immediately being called stupid, or moronic, or dumb by a group who seems unwilling to offer any original thoughts/ideas of their own.

Pulling in NFL stats to make whatever point you were in search of isn’t interesting or compelling - I could theoretically post a write up comparing Rhule’s golf scores against Nebraska’s PPG but I recognize that information is completely irrelevant so I don’t.

I know you’re arguing in bad faith here, but I’ll just say that comparing Rhule’s record across all his stops is perfectly fine to do. Drawing a false equivalence by comparing the stats I provided with Rhule’s golf scores vs. ppg does not make sense, but again, I understand you’re trying to make a point in bad faith. Showing his comprehensive stats is relevant to me because I like to measure how he performs against his peers, whether in college or the pros.

Well, in your OP, you said that Rhule said something that he never said.

Then you mixed CFB & college stats together.

Then you got really faggoty when multiple people pointed out how that's nonsensical apples to oranges.

So we're left to assume moronic or poor faith.

Ah, right on time to pile on with more name calling. Honestly, do you have a single original thought in that brain of yours, or are you too afraid you’ll get made fun of by your internet friends? What’s your take on Rhule’s style of play? Do you think he’ll have a good offense the rest of the way? What are your thoughts on special teams? Do you have thoughts on any of these things, or is all you can muster some more name calling and homophobic slurs?

I take it all back, you're clearly a really fun and interesting guy who will fit in well here.

Have you looked at his special teams stats at previous spots?
Yes, Temple was very bad, then mediocre. At Baylor, very bad, then mediocre, then very bad again his last year. At Nebraska it was borderline bad last year, and very bad this year. Apparently his time at Carolina is completely irrelevant as I’ve been told by some very on-the-level guys that it’s not even the same sport. What’s your take on Rhule’s history with special teams?

You didn’t answer any of my questions though…
1) my internet friends make fun of me all the time, I depend on it
2) I like Rhule’s style of play quite a bit. His offenses have been very dynamic at both Temple and Baylor after a year or 2, and
3) I expect the same to continue to develop here. May need to focus more on the power element.
4) Special teams are neat.

Very few coaches know how to coach kickers. Our problem has primarily been with long snapping & assignment integrity. Rhule’s STs have been fine - not great, not horrible at his other stops. This year is a clear outlier in his career, and I expect him to address it.

Also, you're still a fag & a moron.

hey I’m proud of you, big guy - well done!

Honest question. Who ranks special teams?

PFF
BAYLOR
2019 - 13TH
2018 - 50TH
2017 - 62ND

TEMPLE
2016 - 5TH

Special team grades didn't start until 2016.

ESPN breaks it down by returning, kicking, and punting stats historically.

It will be very interesting in what Rhule does with the staff after this year as majority of the assistants contracts expire. Satt (hopefully he don't come back), TW, Glenn Thomas, and Butler have contracts that don't expire. The defensive staff most likely will be back. Hope he blows up the offensive staff.
Satt is on a 3 year contract.

On offense I think Raiola is a quality coach, you keep him cuz he’s good and to keep his nephew happy. McGuire and Barthel id like to see upgrades at.

On defense keep them all, knighton is a rising talent. Dvoracek group has look good
