Yes, Temple was very bad, then mediocre. At Baylor, very bad, then mediocre, then very bad again his last year. At Nebraska it was borderline bad last year, and very bad this year. Apparently his time at Carolina is completely irrelevant as I’ve been told by some very on-the-level guys that it’s not even the same sport. What’s your take on Rhule’s history with special teams?
What are you looking at to grade their special teams?

I think @Jim14510 PFF grades are a better gauge than me trusting your analysis unless you want to share how you’re grading these units.

I haven’t seen any stats but what we heard when he was hired was that special teams was a pretty good weapon for Rhule’s teams. Blocked kicks was a big emphasis and they were good in coverage. Foley’s credentials are great but it hasn’t translated at Nebraska.

I used ESPN, but they don’t use an overall ST grade - they break down into kicking, returns, and punting. Don’t know if it factors in coverage

2014 - 19
2013 - 82

Nebraska
2019 - 120
2018 - 67
2017 - 14
2016 - 44

2013 - 72

PFF Nebraska

I'm not sure what any of this tells you other than 2016 Temple seems to have been very good. Baylor 2017-2019 PFF and ESPN rankings move in opposite directions. Nebraska was #1 in something in 2014.
