Bootleg11 off the cuff rankings:
1) Penn St - returns best returning QB in the conference, 2nd year with Kotelnicki, hired a top 5 DC in the country
2) Ohio St - has the best offensive and defensive player in the nation
3) Illinois - Return a good QB, great OL, great culture, understand who they are.
4) Oregon - Dante Moore? Are we sure? Evan Stewart out.
5) Biff's Butthole Surfers - True frosh QB. Is the HC the answer?
6) Indiana - Somehow got another easy schedule. They avoid Ohio St, Penn St, USC, Nebraska, Washington and Minnesota..that's 6 of the top 10 Big 10 teams
7) USC - They have to be better than 7th in the Big 10 or they'll be looking for a new coach
8) Cockeye - Defense will be good. 2nd year with the OC. Gronowski can't be worse then what they had right?
9) Nebraska - QB is the most talented returning QB in the conference. Are special teams fixed? Can the DL hold up?
10) Minnesota - They are what they are. Will be bad in some games, will upset others. They are the northern version of Cockeye
11) Washington - A lot of faith being put into their QB because he torched a bad defense in a bowl game
12) Rutgers - They are what they are. Gonna muck up games and play tough. They are the northeastern version of Cockeye
13) Wisconsin - #2ndChoice gone? KU was glad to see Grimes go.
14) UCLA - They are interesting. They may start 1-2 going to Northwestern (off a bye). If they lose that game, it could be a long season
15) Biff's Butthole Surfers St - their QB gonna stop throwing it to the other team? They gonna run the ball like old Oregon State teams?
16) Maryland - meh, I know nothing about them but I can guess..talent on the perimeter and no depth on the L.O.S.
17) Northwestern - double meh
18) Purdue - Barry Odom is a good coach but that could be a tough year
Oregon is a hard one. They have great talent, I think. They've recruited at a high clip according to recruiting sites which are usually accurate. But we haven't really seen Lanning's recruits play. This will be that year. Do we trust the QB? Their floor is probably 6th in the Big 10 and ceiling is probably 1st.
What's Nebraska's ceiling? 4th? What's their floor? 12? 13?
