Counterpoint to that though is that if you told NU fans on 12/1/22 that Year 2 of Rhule is going to be 7-5.....95% of Husker fans would have said "I'm fine with that."

I personally would wait to see what happens in these final 5 games. If the wheels truly do come off then you can grab your pitchforks.

I personally think it's gonna finish at 7-5 which is about where we had it progressing at the beginning.
Oh shit I'll take 7-5 I just don't see it happening.

Kirby Moore makes $1.2 mill and is in the other super conference with probably more than enough money to match any offer.. What's the rationale for him leaving?

Edit: wikipedia says he got a raise to $1.5 for 2024.

Yeah, some people are delusional about coaching searches & assembling staffs. You're not pulling high-performing OCs & DCs from P2 programs as your OC or DC. Those guys are getting HC jobs.

You're not getting many high-performing positional assistants from elite programs as the same position coaches very much - those coaches are getting coordinator jobs.

In reality, you're largely assembling guys who have done it at a lower level at their current position, finding good positional coaches to be coordinators, or hiring guys who have been longtime assistants without elite results that have gotten them promoted. Almost every staff starts out largely "unproven" in that regard.

Also Ludwig just got forced out at Utah after a 3 game losing streak, and their offense is ranked 96th in the country in scoring offense. They were 100th last year.
