I believe we can win 9 or 10 if we stay healthy. Our defense will be stout again, and having a competent offense wins us games we usually don’t - Wisconsin and Cockeye. Neither of them are juggernauts.

Granted our QB’s were not tackled, our line did a good job in pass pro and they opened some holes. We will have a good offensive team.

It's really very tough to gauge off of a spring game. Lotta defensive players and starters not playing. Can't hit the QB, or really even touch them.

WR's look like a ton of talent and weapons there. RB - 2 solid guys it looks like, but not sure any big difference makers.

QB - Raiola more than looked the part, but again no hitting the QB and any true Frosh QB will have ups and downs.

Pass rush, D Line and LB's - tough to get a read on them in a game like this.

Overall, we saw some definite things to be excited about. Special teams were still concerning. Injuries to two talented guys who would have likely been big contributors sucks, but what do you do.

We should at the very least win 6. 9 or 10 should also be possible. But until we have won 6, let alone 9 or 10, it is tough to go out on a limb with a prediction. I personally haven't seen enough to have confidence in making a call on where we land as far as W/L record yet.

It's all going to come down to staying healthy at three spots. QB, RB, and LB. It's in the hands of Fate. Which as all Husker fans know isn't a comforting thought.

Even if we stay healthy at those 3 spots, still a number of hurdles we need to jump over and improve on for more wins to follow. Turnovers, kicking game - all the things that have contributed to use failing so often and losing so many 1 score games over too many years running.

Things are looking up. Still has to happen on Saturdays this fall though. I'm hopeful and see good reasons to believe we will not only have more wins - 6 minimum - but possible for several more wins than that.

Agreed especially about the kicking game. I get a squirmy feeling in my gut thinking about it.

I'm still at 7-8. The team will be improved but relying on a true FR QB who will have FR QB struggles at times. We also have had issues keeping QB's healthy and I could see HH having to play his share due to that.

Took an hour and rewatched the first 3 qtrs of the game on YT today. With ten second skip forward/back, can skip the chaff between plays, but also rewind plays to watch different things like LOS play, and all positions.

My take away is we are improved. Improved in overall talent and depth, plus some key skill talent areas like QB and WR. I think the O Line will be the best we have had for quite some time (not saying much of course). Think the D Line and overall defense will still be good, hopefully a bit better than last year.

A lot comes down to how our true Frosh phenom QB plays. He looked quite composed, with all of the tools that an elite QB has. And it looks like we will have so many more true weapons to throw to this year.

I would be disappointed if we don't get at least 7 wins after a thorough rewatch. It is still just a spring game, which isn't a Saturday game against a real opponent in the fall. But you can see the entire picture of what Rhule is building. I don't know if we could have found a better guy to hire as HC given our needs and all things taken into account.

Either the QB or the RB was wrong almost every time we ran it as we were PA'ing it to a side without any RB.

Think the issue is related to what we saw with Sims handing the ball off on the wrong side, or just a coincidence?

I don't know what the deal is the miscommunication on playaction, but it's definitely not just a Nebraska thing. I see it all the time. It might not even be miscommunication. I would think just the movement of the QB to handoff would be enough to freeze the Lbs for a millisecond even if the running back is not in position to take the handoff.

He is a freshman. Mistakes are coming. That is a 100% guarantee. He is the best we have and have had in a very long time. He still needs some work obviously. Telegraphed some passes he can get away with in a spring game not in the BIG 10. Just young. Hell of a ceiling.

OL and DL will be better. Thats is what matters for wins.
