Bed-Stuy Brooklyn here.

Peaches - great soul/comfort food. Their chicken sandwich is great, and the Brownstone Punch will fuck you up
Trad Room - great Asian/sushi spot. Their Dandan noodles are the best ramen I've had outside of Japan
David's Brisket - Jewish kosher deli that's been around for 50 years. As good as Katz's without the insane line. Oddly enough, it was purchased by a Muslim family in the 80s and they kept it fully kosher.
Ursula - best breakfast burritos
Greenbergs - best breakfast sandos

Outside of Bed-Stuy

Golden Diner - pancakes are a must, and I don't even like pancakes
Llama Inn - Peruvian brunch spot. Delicious, but don't go there if you aren't an adventurous eater
S&P Lunch - my favorite old-school Jewish lunch counter right by my work
Daily Provision - best maple donut I've ever had. Literally melts in your mouth.

If you like food, NYC is a great place to be. The only thing I can't get here is decent Tex-Mex.
Yeah now I want to go back to where I lived in NYC and just eat for a week

I'm mixed on whether Chicago or NY is my favorite food city in the US (Tokyo is the overall GOAT)

Minneapolis has so much damn good food.

Cardamom in the Art Center is so good. Different and awesome. Ricotta pancakes at brunch were incredible there.
That whole restaurant group is great. Daniel Del Prado's got a dozen spots I'd recommend. We go to Josefina and Layline pretty frequently - Colita is my wife's favorite in town.

Top notch restaurant city and maybe the best coffee city in the US - definitely the midwest.

a few years ago I was tasked with teaching some new hires how to use Microsoft teams. This is right after these new hires did their introductions and one of them said her family owned la casa. The actual trainer forced me to show my chat section of teams on screen instead of just walking them through it. This led to me showing all these new hires that I was having a conversation with someone about how much we hated La casa.
La Casa has the worst pizza. I don’t think anyone in Omaha thinks different.

Damn, I need to get out more. Lived in and around Omaha my entire life and never heard of 3/4s the restaurants mentioned so far 🤷‍♂️

Brother Sebastian’s Filet Oscar is good. Farmer Browns is one of the last old school steakhouses left. Good steaks and VERY consistent quality. Gone slightly downhill since ownership change though

What are some other good ones you’ve had? I don’t get out of Parker very often
- Quality Italian sounds cheap based on the name, but my favorite upscale Italian spot. It's in Cherry Creek.
- Water Grill is the best seafood spot. Lower side of downtown Denver. Took the lady there for Valentine's Day a couple months ago and am heading there next Thursday.
- Best Thai place is Aloy Modern Thai on Park Ave. / Larimer downtown.
- My Brother's Bar is the oldest restaurant in Denver and has an awesome, cheap burger.
- Best sushi is Sushi / Izakaya Den off Pearl St. Two Japanese brothers own the place. One runs the restaurant in Denver while the other ships fresh fish from Japan daily.
- Denver BBQ sucks, but there are two really great spots: Post Oak BBQ (Texas style in Sunnyside) and SMOK (KC style in RiNo).
- New dumpling spot just opened by my place in the Highlands and it's the best: Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings. It's packed every night of the week, deservedly so.
- I really like Tony P's Pizza, but I'm biased because I play pickup basketball with Tony P at the Lifetime in Glendale lmao. Other good pizza joints are Pizza Alley (NY-style) and obviously Blue Pan (Detroit-style).

Best BBQ - Wayne’s Smoke Shack in Superior
Best Burger - Atomic Cowboy
Best Steak - Shanahan’s; Guard & Grace and Urban Farmer also good
Down your way Gallo’s is good Italian food and Yolanda’s is great cheap Mexican fare.

I’m a foodie so could go on and on really.
I’ve only been to Shanahan’s and Guard & Grace on this list. I’ll have to try the rest

I’ve never had any of these either. You guys are making me realize I never get out haha. I’ll give these a shot as well. My wife is obsessed with sushi so we will definitely have to get to Izakaya

Sushi Den is v v legit. One of the best sushi places I've been to (and that includes Michelin star places in NY/SF/Chicago/Tokyo)

Had it for the first time a few weeks ago and it was literally the worst pizza I’ve ever had.

La Casa is definitely an acquired taste, a lot of people really like them, but I don’t get it. I’m not a fan either.

I probably go to Charlestons more than anywhere. We also eat at Fernandos a lot. Neither are spectacular.

The prime steakhouses are good of course. Mahogany the best/most reasonable of them imo.
I love Charlestons and always have. Was there with family after my FIL’s funeral last year and the quality was as good as I remember it being growing up.

We also went to Stokes across the parking lot and it was good too.

I always make it a priority to get a Runza and get La Casa when I’m back home.

Their pizza truly is an acquired taste but one that I have acquired.

Small town here. Have the standard Pizza Hut, Subway, a bar, a Mexican place, and a few diners.

The Odyssey in Hastings is good (about 40 minutes). Also went to Fyre in Kearney recently, which was good.

Main thing I miss about living in Dundee for 8 years was the access to good food.
The best restaurant around the Kearney area is the Speakeasy by Funk. Kearney had much better restaurants 20 years ago.

I went to Wayne’s the other day and thought the ribs were the only good thing. The brisket was ok, sides sucked ass.

Off topic but I need to start playing basketball again. You should head south and play down here
