The most consistently satisfying meal I've had is the burrito de asada from El Hambre.

I went 4 months last year where I did carry-out every Sunday afternoon after the wife left for work. Took me about 16 weeks to get burned out on El Hambre. Fucking love that place.

Interesting. It's a little different than the norm but I'd consider it one of the best. What's your favorite pizza?
Definitely Virtuoso. Hard to beat the old school New York style done right. Only place in town to get a legit Italian beef sandwich as well that I’ve found.

I'll have to try it. Go to Hartland down the road quite a bit. Do they do lunch by the slice?

Lincoln - Greg's. They do their thing better than everyone else does their thing.

Honestly*, my favorite Lincoln restaurant is probably Honest Abes.
Last month I tried the new barbecue restaurant at 18th and N called Canyon Joes. It has replaced Phat Jacks as my favorite Nebraska barbecue. The brisket is the best I've had outside of Texas, Kansas City included.

In Omaha, Block 16. I also like the Railcar.

* no pun intended

I've been meaning to go to canyon joes. It looks legit, glad to hear it's actually good. If I remember they have some breakfast items that look really tempting.

Austin. I'll say Franklin's, but there are too many to name just one. I found a great Mexican restaurant in south Austin, but I can't recall the name. Grrrr

Can't believe I forgot about Smokin Barrel in Omaha. Beef brisket is ridiculous.

Like Doc's faaaaaarrrttts

Lincoln- Dish or casa bovina

There are good places. It just sucks most of them don’t exist on the south side of town. They’d likely do better.

Small town here. Have the standard Pizza Hut, Subway, a bar, a Mexican place, and a few diners.

The Odyssey in Hastings is good (about 40 minutes). Also went to Fyre in Kearney recently, which was good.

Main thing I miss about living in Dundee for 8 years was the access to good food.
