I live on a farm 40 min from any actual city. Closest ones are Sioux City -Table 32 or Norfolk-black cow fat pig.
Black Cow Fat Pig is legit. I'll raise you District though. We're out of town too but when we get to Norfolk that's our go to.

Haven't lived in Kearney for a while but when I do go back to visit I'm a fan of Cunninghams on the Lake. Also the pizza place that went in the old Spaghetti Shop is pretty legit too.

District Table is really good too. Every time my in laws come up my father in law wants to go there to get their 20oz mules. It’s a 40 min drive for us. Last maybe 5-10 years Norfolk has really stepped up their game in restaurants. It used to be that it was mostly fast food places OR Valentinos, whiskey creek and Applebees (closed) none of which I ever really liked.

Agreed. They've put a lot of work into that entire downtown district and it's paying off.

I live in a small town ... There are only about 5 choices, one chain and 4 local spots.

It's Over the Top Bakery and it's not close. Spectacular baked goods, breakfast and lunches... All homemade, only open Wed-Sat 600a to 300p. Run by a bunch of older ladies. I usually only get to make it in on Saturday mornings. If they served dinner, I'd be broke.

Went to Ooh De Lally last night which just opened where Mark’s used to be in Dundee. Was very solid. Not best in the city good but definitely another good option.

Sounds gay. Did they have male strippers?

Went to holy grail pub, liked that
I don't know Frisco super well. It's a long ways north of where I live in Dallas.

Fav BBQ Spots - Smokey Rose by the Arboretum, which is by our house. Pecan Lodge in Deep Ellum east of downtown. Oak'd off of Greenville Ave.

Tex Mex - I like Manny's Uptown. Torchy's is a good taco place in our neighborhood.

Steaks - I like the original Bob's Chop on Lemmon. Nick and Sam's off Maple is good, too. The back par used to be frequented by some of Dallas' finest escorts. And not trashy escorts, but high priced escorts, fwiw.

Sushi - Uchi on Maple is known more for it's environment than the sushi. You typically see pro athletes or a celebrity or two.

Hope that helps.
