This is a blatantly obvious and painfully common use case of hyperbole. If you want to debate the merits of the argument thats fine but im not going to circle jerk with you about semantics, fuck off.
I'll simplify it. Speaking definitively about the future of a coach is a fools errand. You can say things like "I doubt Rhule will ever take us to the playoffs" and there's nothing wrong with that.
If you say, "Rhule will never take us to the playoffs" you don't know that for sure, you're just talking like you are.
Calm down buddy.
History of success = before NU. Rhule's history before NU was much better than Riley.
Riley his entire career has been very mid. Really no success anywhere. He won some games here and there, but it's not like he went somewhere and really turned them around or made them really good lke Rhule did with Baylor and Temple.
But that being said, surely Rhule hasn't set the world on fire here either. Hopefully he will, but early returns aren't amazing.

One other indicator for Rhule is what the programs did after he left. Dave Aranda had a great team at Baylor after Rhule left....so much so that no one gives Aranda credit for anything he did in yr 1-2 "that was with Rhule's players."
Rhule is clearly elite at building a CFB program and the infrastructure associated with it. Needs help beating the elite teams though.
